The massive Crossgates mall is slowly dying. The once healthy retail market continues to change as people continue to shop online. It is just a matter of time before we see yet another bulk of store closures. The halls and the businesses are empty. Older shoppers are obviously staying away because of the sheer size and the gun violence that has destroyed the enjoyment of safety and security. I remember when this mall was actually thriving. Wall to wall people in the eighties and nineties. Today, there are hardly any customers. It isn't even worth keeping the lights on.
Back in July 16, 2022 I went to this to meet up with one of my retail friends for the first time and we both recorded the abandon Lord and Taylor that’s in the mall and we actually got inside The abandoned Lord and Taylor because the back door was left unlocked thank goodness we didn’t get in trouble
