Oof, yeah burning low level embers is pretty advisable at this point, but not CE's because of how you can combine them into bombs. Hopefully you didn't burn too many. 😅

Guys if you don't have enough FP to roll the Gacha and get more CE's for bombs, find someone who has the "Beginning of the Journey" or buy it in the rare prism shop if you can. It gives extra +75 FP and throw them in the back of your farming team. Now you're getting 100-125FP instead of just 25FP per quest. Wow...I didn't think that this was possible. I did the third method becuase it was suppose to do. Now with soon 2 years in the game I learn this hahaha Thanks a lot, you got a suscriber!
For an equitable comparison on QP costs, you would need to total all the QP spent to level the CE bomb(s), and add that to the cost to level the target CE. Granted, it's still likely way less but without that calculation, we don't know how much less it is.
I've been working on a CE bomb since I started the game a month ago, and still don't have enough 3-stars filled to finish method 1 even one time. And it takes 8 to get to level 100. Absolutely insane XD
One thing I noticed you didn't mention is that while Method 1 essentially requires 3☆ CEs, they are optional in Method 2. And for me, I prefer gaining the Mana Prisms over QP.
My method: Feed my 2 stars CEs 18 exp (usually from other 2 stars, 1 star or even 3 stars). When I have 20 of those I feed those to a limit break 2 star CE. That will take it to level 30-32. I can them use these CEs to level a limit break 3 star CE to max or close and use it as a super bomb or use them directly on 5 star CE that I want to level up. Time and space consuming method but I think it's very QP efficient.
My casual method is just to take a one-star, drop in two more copies of it and activate, then put in two more copies to MLB it, along with as many other 1-stars as it can fit, then twos, then threes, but only until it passes level 20. Then I just build another one. Then once I get way too many level 20 CEs I can start combining them into bigger bombs.
I MLB a one-star CE, fill it with any 20 fodder CEs, then MLB a different type of one-star CE, fill it with the previous CE and 19 fodders, and repeat until I reach level 50. That way I don't have to keep track of how many one, two, and three-star fodders I have. I'm not sure how much more expensive it is over the first method, but it's probably cheaper than the second.
Nice video! I use a slightly different method, myself. Basically, I choose a 2-star CE that I have 5 copies of, fill it up with 15 random CEs, then add my in-progress bomb, then 4 copies of the base CE to MLB it. This way, you’re only ever adding CEs to a level 1 base. Just make sure you use a different CE for the base than your in-progress bomb, because otherwise it will cost QP based on the in-progress bomb’s level.
First off, thank you so much for this guide. While I know the topic about CE bombs has been covered in the past, you really explained it very well and clear about what it is and the methods used. Since I will start using the first method for obvious reasons (aka only having 5M in QP, and lots of servants to level up, along with their skills 🥴), I do have a question. That method is viable if the CE used as a bomb is a 2☆? Or you use 1☆ CEs as bombs in order to maintain the QP costs at minimum? Again, thank you so much! You gained a subscriber.
Yes, and I'm surprised you're the first person to ask. You can also do 6 lvl 55 2 star CEs instead of 8 lvl 50 1 star CEs. They both work the same way as method 1, only the final bomb is different.
Thanks a bunch for this vid man. I haven't dropped below 100mil QP in a very long time, not since I've been able to go relatively hard on lottos, so I tend to use the second method (it's actually how I got my 3 bombs from 3rd Ani this year). I was wondering if you've considered making a guide for upcoming CEs worth using CE bombs on, specifically welfare CEs. I know Royal Icing (for future Castoria prep) and Aerial Drive are in my sights for this year and Traces of Christmas next year, but I can't think of any others that I'd use CE bombs on aside from maybe duplicates or Da Vinci Shop CEs for memes. Maybe a guide for gacha CEs that are permanent too, obviously Scope and Black Grail, but I'm curious about what you think of some 4 star CEs that might be worth using bombs on because of their niche.
over limit breaking holy knight CE you can stack them around all the team having like 5,000 or 7,000 more HP for every ally, it works pretty well when doing solo with a servant with no much hp like sasaki or Lu Bu
Well then, I was using the "QP wasting method" haha. Like everyone else before me, I have now learned what is "QP hell" and am entering the "CE bomb" mines.
If i havent searched about star bomb CEs then this wouldnt have appeared and i wouldn't have known about this at all. Welp, Time to turn off that auto burning now.
Hey Khadroth! I was pretty excited seeing a video related to CE bombs as I haven't seen too many FGO tubers actually make guides related to them and I appreciate the methods you presented! However, there is a method that I found online that I have been using since I near starting this game and feel like it may be more efficient QP and time wise but would love your input on it as well! Link to the CE guide I've been using below: grandorder.wiki/CE_Bomb_Guide For those reading this who'd like a TLDR of the method I linked to, I'll show the steps below as I have best understood it: Step 1: Take a (preferably 1 star) CE and loading it up to 16,000 XP (if a 1 star CE) without enhancing yet and then adding 4 of the same 1 star CE's type to MLB it keeping costs minimal and raising the max level of the 1 star CE to 50 avoiding the risk of losing potential XP for super/great enhancements. (This will be referred to as the initial bomb from here on out.) Step 2: Take another fresh (once again preferably 1 star) CE and load it up to 15,000 XP without enhancing yet, then take the initial CE bomb we made earlier and add that without enhancing yet, and then take 4 copies of the 1 star CE you're using to add as the final 4 CE cards to use for enhancement and then go ahead and enhance. Step 3: Treat the now big CE bomb we have now and treat it as your fodder CE bomb and repeat Step 2 again and again.
Yep this method works. To me though this is even more tedious than the first method I explained. If it works for you its fine though. The important thing with CE bombs is just saving qp. Some people can tolerate more or less. Others can't be bothered to spend to the time and prefer one of the other methods I laid out.
@@Khadroth Gotcha, yeah I've been having a lot of time at home trying to figure out what to do with my time since Covid that I think I more or less forgot the concept of time haha. Thanks for your input!
Trubo's post has EXP/QP numbers for this method: blogs.nrvnqsr.com/entry.php/4042-Fate-Grand-Order-Craft-Essence-Experience-Leveling-2-0 "In terms of QP, each level 100 SSR CE will cost 403200-518400 QP, assuming you never get a Great or Super Success." Based on this, it should be fine as long as you are making CE bombs. The main goal is just to avoid the enormous QP costs at high CE levels. For example, it costs 10,944 QP to feed a single 1-star CE into a level 99 CE. 495,000 EXP is required to level a CE from 99 to 100. As each 1-star CE provides 1k EXP, feeding 495 1-star CEs into the level 99 CE would cost 495 * 10,944 = 5,417,280 QP. Even if you use a less efficient method and triple the QP cost of this method, it would still be far better than directly feeding into the 5-star CE being leveled.
@@TheFlippingPancake Ooh thanks for linking the actual numbers someone had crunched from this method! And yeah in the end as Khadorath and the overall theme of this topic explicit, it all comes down to what you value most, QP or time.
Ive been trying to level up a CE for a while... got it up to level 60 I just learned about this... Ive been doing method 3 the whole time oh my god ive wasted so much QP
I generally use a system that's somewhat between method 1 and 2. I make the lvl 10-15 CEs, than I combine them together for a large CEs, then combine those, sometimes with additional level 10-15 CEs if needed to get as close as possible to 50. I don't make 3* bombs, I often limit break a 1* CE that feed it 3* CEs. Is it a big difference there? My method is definitely less efficient than method 1, but doesn't take much thought, and seems much more efficient than method 2.
In my experience as F2P The process is very slow I only managed to bring a 1-star CE to level 50 And it takes me half a year or even more That yes, save a lot QP. But during that half a year, don't take advantage of the increased stats for that CE by not leveling it up. It is a method that you should follow if you plan to raise a lot of CEs to level 100. But if you are F2P, I recommend leveling up Golden Sumo and that's it Save experience with this method in case you ever get a MLB Kaleido or an MLB Black Grail One more note, I've been playing for about 3 years I have never burned CEs, I have always used them to level up others And I only have 1 CE at level 100 XD (Although I have about 6 at level 50-60 approximately)
Do you 3 turn farms or just farm generally using a CE "Beginning of the Journey"? I have the CE and it has made a pretty good difference in rolling the FP Gacha and getting much more 1-3* ce's
Man, I'm at reverse QP hell now. I need to get down low before Christmas. Space Ishtar will obviously help, but that's still like 600m I'm going to have to burn. I may end up just QP dump LOL
I'm surprised so many of you are saying this. I figured CE bombs were fairly common knowledge and that at most people were a little confused on how to create them efficiently. Clearly there was a need for a video like this.
Im back here after 2023 Nero Fest. Still floating at 0 to 4mil WP dependong on if I did a Doors run or not. Yeah, my good luck is a but cursed, so many 5star servants to level now. Jalter, Ishtar, Illya, Anastasia, Oberon, Koyanskaya, and Jeanne. (Ishtar was a GSSR, and Jeanne was the free shop 5*) All since I came back from a 5 month break without logging in at all.
Just wanna hear your thoughts on this method I started to use: Grab a 1* CE and feed it: 4 copies to MLB + 1 different 1* CE + 4 2* CEs (or any 1* or 3* if short on 2*) This normally results in a 10/50 CE with 17k acc. exp. Then I make 21 of these 10/50, take one feed the 20 others, and this normally creates a 28/50 CE with 377k acc. exp. Then (my numbers might be wrong here) take 6 of those and combine them into the final 50/50 form with 2.26M acc. exp. Would the final acc exp be comparable to the one that can be achieved in the first method you had explained?
Yeah it should be the same amount of accumulated as long as the final bomb is a lvl 50 1 star CE. Like on the other comment that used a method similar to yours, this works just fine. The goal is simply to level CEs without shooting yourself in the foot for qp. Some people prefer a more tedious method, some prefer more time efficient methods. It's all up to you what you wanna do. 👍
I have been burning 1-3 Star CEs after MLB-ing one, or the 3rd method and I've taken forever to level my 5 Star MLB CEs. Thanks for the guide! Would the EXP CEs just be the fodder in the 1st methods or is there an alternative use that's better?
You know.. it’s pretty messed up how they made the CEs level up. The super rates does not seem to use the accumulated Exp of the CE bomb. In other gacha games it does with their respective exp bombing. They chose this to deliberately take a jab at the player base (yet again)
I got a bunch of EXP CEs from Gilfest. Should I just follow the same methods for the CE bombs or can I just put them directly into the CEs I'm leveling? Which way is more QP efficient?
Great video once again. I have a lot of patience, but method 1 is way too tedious for me. When you're sitting at multiple millions of fp with 2/3x success rate, my sanity would fade away doing the first method. Also I don't think reverse qp hell was that uncommon: We got nerofest, xmas and davinci, which gave out so much qp especially if you were not rolling that much during that time, like if you're f2p
Yeah plenty of dolphins and even F2P's can hit it if they have the refills. I was more trying to explain it for anyone who wasn't aware of reverse qp hell. Method 2 is my favorite because of the lack of tediousness of other methods.
a bit late but how do I utilise the 4 star ce exp? do I add it directly to the 1 star or the use them to upgrade the 3 star to max first? (also I've been using 3 star exp to get the 3 star to level 18 first, I'm not sure if this is right or not)
Throw them into the low-star CEs you intend to turn into CE bombs. Makes the process slightly faster and cheaper since they give so much exp, especially if you wait until a Super/Great Succ rate up event and get a few here or there.

Link to the CE guide I've been using below:
grandorder.wiki/CE_Bomb_Guide
For those reading this who'd like a TLDR of the method I linked to, I'll show the steps below as I have best understood it:
Step 1: Take a (preferably 1 star) CE and loading it up to 16,000 XP (if a 1 star CE) without enhancing yet and then adding 4 of the same 1 star CE's type to MLB it keeping costs minimal and raising the max level of the 1 star CE to 50 avoiding the risk of losing potential XP for super/great enhancements. (This will be referred to as the initial bomb from here on out.)
Step 2: Take another fresh (once again preferably 1 star) CE and load it up to 15,000 XP without enhancing yet, then take the initial CE bomb we made earlier and add that without enhancing yet, and then take 4 copies of the 1 star CE you're using to add as the final 4 CE cards to use for enhancement and then go ahead and enhance.
Trubo's post has EXP/QP numbers for this method:
blogs.nrvnqsr.com/entry.php/4042-Fate-Grand-Order-Craft-Essence-Experience-Leveling-2-0
"In terms of QP, each level 100 SSR CE will cost 403200-518400 QP, assuming you never get a Great or Super Success."
Based on this, it should be fine as long as you are making CE bombs.
I regret that I went over 1 year without hearing about CE bombs
what the part about standard experience and accumulated experience ? else pretty good video and easy to understand
Ive been trying to level up a CE for a while... got it up to level 60
I just learned about this...
Ive been doing method 3 the whole time oh my god ive wasted so much QP
All the QP I have wasted away... not knowing this was a thing...
In my experience as F2P
The process is very slow
I only managed to bring a 1-star CE to level 50
And it takes me half a year or even more
That yes, save a lot QP. But during that half a year, don't take advantage of the increased stats for that CE by not leveling it up.
It is a method that you should follow if you plan to raise a lot of CEs to level 100.
But if you are F2P, I recommend leveling up Golden Sumo and that's it
Save experience with this method in case you ever get a MLB Kaleido or an MLB Black Grail
One more note, I've been playing for about 3 years
I have never burned CEs, I have always used them to level up others
And I only have 1 CE at level 100 XD
(Although I have about 6 at level 50-60 approximately)
Do you 3 turn farms or just farm generally using a CE "Beginning of the Journey"? I have the CE and it has made a pretty good difference in rolling the FP Gacha and getting much more 1-3* ce's
@@Kai-vo5zq Unfortunately I don't have that CE
It is true that it would be a big change in the amount of CEs that I would get out of FP gacha
*cries in no golden sumo no golden carp and no kintoki because is a 6 month old player*
I have been playing this game for a year and im only knowing this now?!
Thank you .
I cant believe I havent thought of this. 2 years in FGO and I'm still a newbie T_T
It's all good, its not super intuitive to most people. Especially since while servants level up in the same way, you can't really bomb them.
@@Khadroth True- And that would be too much power...
TIL there's a limit to how much qp you're allowed to have. A ceiling so far above that I may never reach it.
Man, I'm at reverse QP hell now. I need to get down low before Christmas. Space Ishtar will obviously help, but that's still like 600m I'm going to have to burn. I may end up just QP dump LOL
Damn i was qp dumping without knowing
Why did I only found this now?!?
I'm surprised so many of you are saying this. I figured CE bombs were fairly common knowledge and that at most people were a little confused on how to create them efficiently. Clearly there was a need for a video like this.
@@Khadroth thanks mate for the video I have heard of CE bomb week ago despite playing for one year and only now do I learn how it work
@@Khadroth so is there a more efficient way to level servants aswell? Im new to the game so idk
(Ishtar was a GSSR, and Jeanne was the free shop 5*)
All since I came back from a 5 month break without logging in at all.
8:00 for me to remember ^_^
Just wanna hear your thoughts on this method I started to use:
Grab a 1* CE and feed it:
4 copies to MLB + 1 different 1* CE + 4 2* CEs (or any 1* or 3* if short on 2*)
This normally results in a 10/50 CE with 17k acc.
Shoot I been doing method 2 all this time
I’m lvl 130 and I’ve been using the last method since I started.... no wonder I always struggle with qp
Nice video
Bruh...I've been playing this game for 3 years and i never knew this method(qp bomb) exist
Yikes, I hope you haven't wasted too much qp then 😰
I have been burning 1-3 Star CEs after MLB-ing one, or the 3rd method and I've taken forever to level my 5 Star MLB CEs. Thanks for the guide!
Would the EXP CEs just be the fodder in the 1st methods or is there an alternative use that's better?
I have a lot of repeated 4 star CE’s and I don’t know what should I do with them
Why some craft essence max level is only 20 while others goes to level 80?
Nice❤️
You know.. it’s pretty messed up how they made the CEs level up. The super rates does not seem to use the accumulated Exp of the CE bomb. In other gacha games it does with their respective exp bombing. They chose this to deliberately take a jab at the player base (yet again)
i don't understand how std exp and acc exp works. Could u explain it? I try not to follow methods too blindly
I got a bunch of EXP CEs from Gilfest. Should I just follow the same methods for the CE bombs or can I just put them directly into the CEs I'm leveling? Which way is more QP efficient?
Thx but I'm just lost at one point
at 8:40 do you actually need to MLB the 3* CE?
Okay where did you get the Artoria poster and lancer Artoria figure
and i thought CE bombs were about giving more exp to your main CE until i ran out of qp
What does the QP cap out at
999,999,999 qp. Aka 1 Billion.
@@Khadroth wow im not hitting that ammout ever the most i had was 200,000,000
Well I fueked up royally.
👍👍👍
I have a question should I use the magical ruby ce to level other ce cuz I am afraid that I might do something wrong
(also I've been using 3 star exp to get the 3 star to level 18 first, I'm not sure if this is right or not)
I used to do method 1 but i really need the mana prisms , so i changed to method 2 and burn all 3 star ce instead , is it still okay ?
When I try to add 3 star bombs to the one star, it only allows one and it can go up to lvl 10?
I’m confused with the 1st one with 18
Where do i use ce exp cards then? the special one that has no effect but sole purpose is to give other ce some exp
Throw them into the low-star CEs you intend to turn into CE bombs. Makes the process slightly faster and cheaper since they give so much exp, especially if you wait until a Super/Great Succ rate up event and get a few here or there.
