TB, did you notice that when the game is at 60fps (double speed) the towers are effectively shooting at half the speed? I noticed when you lowered the fps to 2, there were around 4 projectiles in the air from the Artillery. The towers' shooting is measured in time not frames, this is the biggest reason why 'MLG Hard Mode' is hard, because of the towers' lowered shooting speed.
I like how he spends time checking melee speed and such, and even after seeing towers fire at the same rate on lower framerate, never seems to realize that at 60, his towers are essentially shooting at half-speed.
I think you make a great duo. I'm subscribing with hopes of more material. Genna, you seem intelligent and really sweet. And TB is TB. This is the kind of entertainment I deserve!
If the turrets fire at the same speed when the game is running slowly, then they are running at that speed when it is running quickly, meaning they are firing half as much as they should be at the speed you were playing the game. Certainly much harder TB.
TB, if you work from the bottom up, you don't have buildings only hitting half the enemies. The paths merge in the middle, so I'd drop 6-9 infantry right there and then get some ranged units to pile in on them while they're stuck. I'd leave the top spaces blank for the entire duration of the level.
And yes, at 60fps, they'd still break through, kill all your infantry faster than they respawn and be unphased by your ranged units, but at least you'd lose less badly. :D

I think that the archers are legit useless, it's like a semi-dps semi-crowdkiller but it isn't really great at either roles. The artillery, say, does the most damage and is aoe but is really slow in fire rate. The mage tower has 2nd most damage and fire slightly faster so it's not great at larger groups but with the high damage you can usually kill the ones that leaked in a single hit so even if they are multiple leakers you can sitll stop them. The archers fire faster but that doesn't offset their total lack of damage. They do like 1/4th of the damage and fire at twice the speed. Comes from the flashgame veteran xd
No, they are not useless. Firsly, the archers have the most dps out of any physical damage towers (other than berserkers), this makes them vital against large magic resist targets. Also, ranger towers wrath of the forest is extremely powerful and can annihilate groups of enemies. Musketeers headshot and massive range are also extremely useful. And of course, let's not forget they are the cheapest ranged tower.

Wait a second... the unit speed is affected be framerate, but the tower attack speed isn't. It really is hardcore mode.
