Hello sir!I just replaced my alcatel idol 3(4.7inch) screen.I made everything correctly.When I turn on the phone I see horizontal short lines that change length during navigation.Another strange thing is that when I unlock the screen the lines disappear totally for nearly half a second,and then appear again.The white lines do not flicker and change length and width only during navigation. Please can you help me or give me an advice? thank you!!
Success!!!! Thanks for the video! My phone had this extra orange strip with chips on both sides. It was glued on top of the black 90 degree-angle strip that wraps around the motherboard (on the top left of the phone looking from the front). Don't know what it was, but the phone you fixed in your video definitely didn't have it. Weird. But I just took it off and put it back on after installing the new part and it works just fine. I bought 10mm tape and 1mm tape, and used a hair dryer to take the screen apart. I didn't have that scraper looking tool, just used the picks and tweezers that came with my tool set and was able to get everything taken apart just fine. Thanks again, I'm super excited. My first phone fix, now my wife has her phone back.
I have the 32GB dual-sim idol 3 5.5" version (6045K). if I hack it by replacing the dual-sim tray with a sim-microSD tray; would it read as a sim & external storage version?

I am a physicist and build electronics all the time. Be advised this video is extremely misleading and can completely trash your phone. Many crucial steps are missing. Be warned.
MovilOne for example, step 1 after taking the back cover out, you must unplug the battery from the main board first to avoid possible shortcuts ;) Some other quality steps could be improved, but is a nice tear down though.
This video was thumbs DOWN because it over-simplifies the process. It's 100% harder than shown. In removing the back for instance you must loosen the side OPPOSITE to the camera, as there's a delicate ribbon cable attached to the camera light - which is attached to the back. As I discovered the hard way, as it tore. This unit was opened before and them re-opened for the purposes of this video.
