🇬🇧 RAF C-130 Hercules Farewell - The Final Flight Trio at Brize Norton

14th June 2023 saw the RAF C-130 Hercules aircraft make their final farewell flight, real shame to see this reliable workhorse retire from RAF service.

I've been up in a C130 as an air scout in the 1980's. I remember they opened the rear door whilst in flight. An experience I have never forgotten 🙂

Hercules look so much better than Globemasters. Was great to see the 3 of them together. Some good footage of them at the Mach Loop last year too (Gary Gough's & Dafydd Phillips' channels). Thanks Bob.

S.A.S. really do not want them to go. No-one is truly happy with the Airbus A400M Atlas.
If the UK, does get more defence funding, they should buy 13 brand new Lockheed C-130J-30 Super Hercules, upgraded to the MC-130J Commando 2, specifications for a reformed 47 Squadron of the RAF.
