Friend was in Norway, station was "rebooting" for ~10 minutes(will probably improve over time for sure), then car was accepted and after that there was 2 others cars in line. Swap takes 4 minutes 40 seconds. If you are 2nd/3rd in line it is faster to supercharge then wait. Dense fastcharging network is a better solution in my opinion. ( 11 minute charge gives 50% / 240km range on V3 supercharger )
2nd: You take care of the battery, and they will replace it with some worn out one after 150k kilometers(I am not saying today, but after years of such stations).
This does not appeal to me.

2nd point: just replace it. You don’t have to care whether the battery is good or not. That’s the great thing about it. If you feel like the battery is faulty get another one. When Nio upgrades their batteries get that one. Instead of having one battery you have to worry about, you have basically an unlimited supply that you don’t have to care much about. Sounds pretty cool to me. Having updated real time info on the wait time is nice too. It’s not perfect but the batter swap feature is definitely a reason to buy nio for me. I can get a new engine every time nio upgrades it’s battery

@@iqratbismirabika Cool in theory, but this will fail sooner or later. And then you are stuck with your battery.
We saw an identical scenario with Tesla, after a year of pilot the program was shut down.

Hard to scale up. Also nio needs to build own factory instead of contracting VW subsidiary JAC.

NIO and the Hefei municipal government are building NEO park.
