  • Founded in 1962, the Fundy Curling Club; a two sheet rink located in Riverside-Albert, NB; welcomes players of all ages and abilities. Like many rinks in rural Canada, the club had been struggling to keep its doors open and attract new members. An aging and unreliable ice plant almost forced the club to close for good. Fortunately, with the extraordinary support of the community and strong efforts in fundraising, the club was able to keep an open house and with that a new ice plant was installed and the club’s membership has been on the rise ever since.
We filmed this clip to show our strength of spirit. Over 75% of our membership were involved in the filming of this video including one of our youngest members (age 17) and some of our oldest active members. Also featured in the video is a father/daughter curling combo as well as a father/son appearance. This clip shows a typical final stone of the evening from the stone’s point of view.
