As I have already probably mentioned I have a vast Sasha doll collection from the early Series ones to the later Gotz versions I have spent a mint of money on these dolls on Ebay but my love of them goes back to when I was a little girl. As I wanted one as a child, seen one in a doll book asked my mom for one for Christmas but she could not find one so I got a doll from the Sears catalog called Serenella. But I have made up for that now and probably have the biggest collection in Southwestern Ontario. Love these dolls and thank you so much for this video!!! Always a great job ladies.
I'm a Barbie and fashion doll collector, but Sashas are the one other type of doll I collect. My mom was a teacher and when I was young, I would look for them in her Creative Playthings catalogs. I wanted one so much! I was totally smitten with them - they looked almost like real kids! It was a long time until I actually saw one; they are difficult to find and as you said, usually very expensive. I now have five of them - three girls (blonde, brunette, ginger) and two boys (blond, brunette). The only other one I'd really like to have is a Prince Gregor. Thanks for your great video - love that you have a nice mother-daughter hobby you can share!
I just discovered this Video and your beautiful Sasha dolls collection! I'm from Switzerland and a Sasha collector for many years now. Thank you very much for this interesting Video and greetings from Switzerland!
I acquired my first (and only) Sasha doll a few months ago at an estate sale. She's the blonde girl in the blue gingham dress. My research seems to suggest she dates from about 1970. I learned a lot from your video. Thanks!
Lovely to see this video. Thanks so much to linking to my Etsy Shop Muriel Makes as well, very much appreciated. You have built up a lovely collection. My favourites are always the boys, which I guess is understand as 'Henry Holiday' my Gregor accompanies me everywhere.
I will be receiving my first Sasha Monday. She is a baby & from what I've read, she will come in her original, but partial White Bird outfit. I have already watched this twice & will watch this video again.
I'm in love with Cara! she's adorably chubby, and I feel like I like the super-dark skintones on the Sasha dolls more than any other ones. Something is being added when this facemolds are casted in the ebony colors! and as curly-haired girl, I appreciate the hair texture, and just head over heels about afros!
I've always liked Sasha dolls but sadly have never seen one I can afford, hoping I'll find one in a charity shop one day going cheap. I've always loved dolls that look a bit creepy, especially unintentionally, and Sasha dolls with their blank expressions are a bit creepy aren't they? lol. Now I know why they have the neutral expression though, it's so the child can use their imagination more and decide the dolls mood.
The faces are kinda..odd. They look more like manikins then toys, do their vinyl darken overtime? I’m seeing light hair dolls with seriously dark complements
Thanks, i ended up giving it to my friends five year old son. He likes it alot since boy dolls are kinda hard to come by that aren't babies. His big sister (6 turning 7) found some of the babies at a thrift shop and likes carrying them around
You mentioned about having your Sasha ‘Restrung… I desperately need to send some of my dolls to be restrung. Can you help me with a name of who you use? I’d be most appreciative…. My baby Sasha needs to be restrung as well! Enjoy your Collecting! 😘 liz
I just wanted to pick your brains a little. Don't know if you can help or not. I need girl footwear for my Twigling Ingenue (bjd) . I am having difficulty finding affordable shoes/boots. She is 67cm in height but the typical 1/3 size is too small. Her feet are 8.7 cm long and 3;5 wide. I would appreciate some advice. Any suggestions?
Hmmmm. I would reach out to the local doll shops or online shops and see if they have any suggestions. In the US, I'd check with Denver Doll or even The Junky Spot, to see if they have any brands that may fit.
Hi.. Thanks for getting back to me. My girl now has new shoes... lots of them. I made them myself. I sculpt and I dont know why it didnt occur to me to do that before. So now she has bespoke sandals , flip flops and pumps... totally fit like gloves..( so to speak) :)

Wow. Your collection sounds amazing!
It is Ashley and thank you and your mom for such a most needed video as these dolls need credit cause they are a great line of doll history!!!
I ❤️ learning about these dolls thanks for posting
Just found a Sasha at Goodwill for $9.99! I've wanted one for over 40 years!!! The darker skin dolls are much cooler.
Wow! Great price!

You're welcome. My mom and I have spent hours browsing all the amazing Sasha sites!

Those are my favorite Sasha's, too. :)
IKR? they are somehow overloaded with cutenes and seriousness!
Could you tell me if the Brunette with the red overall dress is UK version? Fantastic collection, love the video ...all of yours actually!
All of our Sasha's are from England. We haven't found any decently priced German ones-- yet!
Thank you! : )

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find one at a charity shop. :)
I just found that redhead boy doll in the corduroy outfit, had absolutely no clue what I found until I saw this

The more common Sasha's you'll find (Trenton made dolls) generally don't darken. At least, not that I know of.

Hi, do their cords stretch if you display them in sittinp possition? In your video you mentioned the stands can cause dents on the body..
The elastic will stretch if they're sitting all the time. They're made to balance on their own, except for the babies with bend knees. :)
@@Kewpie83 Thank you very much! : )

These remind me of Tree Change Dolls. The eyes.
I can see that.
Agreed!
