    very intresting context :) it was exactly what i was looking for. I think if we analyse the magic formula suggestions and come up with the best 5 or 10 every year we can do reallyyyy good. Buy the way the exact formula is provided in the book. The CEO is buying like crazy, it is a good sign.

    Can’t wait to do my own diligence and check this out myself. Companies like these with healthy balance sheets make great acquisition targets
    Great video as usual!

      It has gross margin of more than 95%. Are these sustainable?

    • @Dementia.Pugilistica
      @Dementia.Pugilistica Год назад

      @@anupammahorprobably not. IMMR may one day have much more consistent revenues than it does now, but it's very susceptible to volatility in performance metrics due to say, a big one off client contract (think like, designing the controllers for when a new console like PS5 is released) and then that quarter will have lopsided returns vs another where they either lose money or perform more marginally. But as haptic technology becomes more important (which it will) and the company gets more business and notoriety, this should level out to some degree.

      it looks good, only the total debt is a bit high compared to the total cash, if they continue like this though it whould not be a problem in a couple of quarters.

    Any thoughts on IMMR's involvement with BNED? It looks like BNED holds about 5 patents involving menu navigation on touch based devices. IMMR now controls 4 of the 7 seats on BNED's board. They also have successfully licensed their patents to Meta for 17.4 million and they have their patent case against Valve in 2025. I'm new to this, but it appears that Toro 18 Holdings, Immersion's fully owned sub, may hold just below 5% (~850k shares) of Turtle Beach and 1.5 million shares of Universal Electronic on which Immersions CEO, Eric Slinger, is a board member.

      Wanted to ask essentially the same question here: do you know anything about IMMR's involvement in the equity raise of BNED in June? (Do you know how/why they were involved?) I am a new subscriber to your channel, and a big fan. I'd love to hear what you think of the chances of BNED turning around and stabilizing. (It'd take a bit of research to get caught up on the whole saga, that's for sure.)

    Thoughts of SRTS, HDSN, and ASRT? Also magic formula stocks

    • @PartTimeInvesting
      @PartTimeInvesting  Год назад +2

      I've noticed right now a lot of the medical/pharma companies are showing up on the magic formula. I usually stay away from those with some exceptions just because it is far from my area of expertise. HDSN is very interesting. I like what I see at first glance and need to do a deeper dive once I have time. Thanks for the suggestions!

    After I saw your video I’m March 2023 I bought some Immersion stocks. Now I‘m up like 15%. I would love to hear your thoughts on the stock. To me it looks still undervalued. Would you agree on that? Thanks in advance

      I agree that it still looks undervalued but I also think it is a little more complicated than I made it out to be on my first video. I am planning a follow up video sometime in the next few weeks.

      Sorry that videos have been so slow. I think all these same principles still hold. I think low debt becomes a bigger factor in bad economic times. You want to make sure the company can survive some hardship and pass through the other side better than their competitors.

    Hey
    What do you think about Paypal at the current price and did you buy Atkore at 120$?

    • @PartTimeInvesting
      @PartTimeInvesting  Год назад +2

      I think PayPal is a little too expensive still but mostly just outside my circle of competence. I have an alert for Atkore at 115 so haven’t bought more yet. My basis is 80 so it’s tough to psychologically to pay up that much but it’s one of if not my favorite stock I own.

    Strong numbers for immersion yesterday. Well above expectations. My target price now is around 12USD for the next 2 years. What are your thoughts?

    • @PartTimeInvesting
      @PartTimeInvesting  3 месяца назад

      Honestly I have been trimming as they climb. It's not as much that I dislike the company but that I wanted to move the money somewhere else that was down. I think the thesis is still there, but I worry in general about the patent dependent moat that requires a lot of legal defense.
      My worst mistake has been selling things early which will probably be the case here as well.

    Do we know why they are sitting on so much cash?

    • @PartTimeInvesting
      @PartTimeInvesting  Год назад +1

      While not ideal to be sitting on it, its at least a positive to me that they are making cash and not losing it. They have also tried to distribute some via special dividend and stock buybacks. The lack of reinvestment in my opinion shows that they don't see a lot of immediate opportunities for growth. Again, while this is not ideal, I prefer it to a company dumping money in any idea just because they have money to spare.

    Thoughts on the business side, like IMMRs key competitors (TDK; Texas Instruments; Microchip Technology; AAC Technologies Holdings; Alps Alpine - according to chatgpt) + the employee count down to only 20??

    • @PartTimeInvesting
      @PartTimeInvesting  Год назад +1

      I think their patents give them a very strong moat in their niche, but I agree that competition outside that niche is probably too tough. I think that is why you see reduced expenses and stock buybacks.

    Any following have an idea why its so down today.

    • @PartTimeInvesting

      My guess is that people got excited by the rumors of a deal with META and were disappointed when the actual details were revealed.
