Absolutely Loved having Briggs on the team. Flashed as much as Urlacher in the games. Alex Brown you were awesome too, unappreciated. I Learned the Gator clap because of you
Post game Flus whether he’s a long term head coach or goes back to defensive coordinator the way he conducts himself he’s a man to be respected. Period. Also the defense gets consistent pressure on the QB and that did remind me a bit of the 85 Bears. Note I said ‘a bit’ lol. And Caleb sorry but he is a talent. The missed timing and miscommunication will improve. And you know he’s a character guy and a team player. He’s gonna be solid and more than likely top 10. Which is good enough and better then the Bears deserve lol. O line needs to step up and stop the procedure mistakes. You’re professionals and you’re letting your team down. Let’s go 🐻
Thank you! Anyone who still wants Fields as their QB is welcome to join Steelers Nation. I have a soft spot in my heart for Mitchell Trubisky (he’s a sweet kid who tries very hard), but I don’t want him back as a Bear. I wish him well, I’m happy for him when he has a good game (when he does play, anyway), and he’s clearly talented as he’s still in the NFL, but he’s not a great NFL-level QB. Either wish our former players well on their new teams and be happy for their successes while still cheering for the Bears, or join their new team’s fan base and leave the Bears behind.
I was at the NFC championship game. And the dude sittin next to my dad and I was classic Grubowski Chicago guy... when it started to lightly snow, he turned to me and said, "dats Papa Bear Halas reigning down from da Skiesss." That should be all the speech anyone needs. I've got a shitload of flying of the handle, Pro Bears rants, that will confuse and inspire the team. Go bearsss!
For everyone arguing Justin vs Caleb and talking negatively about these young men here's some food for though. Field is performing better than Caleb right now because he's been in the league longer and he's on a better team with a much better coaching staff that is tailoring the offense to his strengths. Caleb is gonna take a bit more time to catch up to the speed of the game. Hopefully the offensive line can improve and keep him protected. The Bears coaching staff has alot to prove as well. They don't have a Mike Tomlin level coach. So ya Fields should be performing better because he's in a better position to succeed right now than Williams. That doesn't mean Williams won't catch up and pass Fields. In the end these two young, talented QBs should be supported and rooted for. Stop all the hater s**t.
The punter should not be our best player. Love that he played well, but we’ve needed an offensive line for years and it’s disgraceful how bad it still is when our GM is a former offensive lineman. I’m with Lance and Alex, draft an impact player, you can get a good punter undrafted.
Offense trending in Right direction bb. lets goo... man if Shane wasn't an Idiot last week on Goaline , Bears would have beat the Colts and be 3-1. But its ok.
Caleb Williams is the greatest rookie QB we've ever seen. Already top 3 in the league and will be #1 by the end of the year. Make my words, Caleb will be hoisting the Lombardi in January!
Can't celebrate too much because the rams are a terrible team. If we barely beat bad teams we won't stand a chance against elite teams offensively. Caleb should've threw for at least 200 yards. He had time to throw today
It was already said that this is playoff caliber defense. This is apart of the cycle. 🔁 beat a bad/hurt team and Chicago fans get amnesia. Pump the breaks. Let’s see if this punter kick us into the playoffs. Then you can chew on his shorts. 🩳 the run game was great, the coaches made good play calls. Consistency is the key to a good team.
What they dont realize is everyone isnt gonna get their numbers every week. Thats just football, you go with who is hot in the game. Rome just had a great game ladt week. Its just the game plan called for running and swift finally got it going
It is crazy if you think about it how the talent in the NFL is so much better than the average college defender! In the NFL there are 3 levels of talent. 1) Practice Squad. 2) 2nd String. 3) Starter The average college defender depending on the collegiate QBs team schedule may not even make it to the NFL practice squad!
Over the past 55 years I have observed that the Bears use misdirection in their plays less than any team. You see, real men don't trick you, they run you over. Well ideally. Instead we have had 55 years of mostly bad offense. Some little bit of misdirection finally made it into the game. I mean wow, a draw play. After Indy blitzed 50% of the time. That was so sick.
This doesn't have anything to do with the game but I got nowhere else to gripe. I don't know what we got for roquan Smith but it can't be nearly enough. This guy has been a stud since day one.
So they finally took the cotton outta their ears and actually heard what everybody was saying. And suddenly the Offensive line looks somewhat like an offensive line. They beat a team that had missing pieces because of injuries this was a game they should've won. And I guess Swift showed everybody he can still run it and Caleb is gonna be a he'll of an QB in time. He took a step forward today. I've gotta say they played a good game today Congrats to my Bears this week and we will see how next week goes. BEAR DOWN BEARS
We need them RA RA guys in this dam locker room whi are gonna cuss these dam players out and hold them accountable for not doing their dam job. Shane needs to do more listening than talking in them dam meetings. He's new here, alot of those guys been here. Call his ass out for not utilizing all the talent we have on this team.
A few observations.1 Alex appears in good shape, but Mr. Briggs is becoming a tad portly. 2. the D, as always, was pounded on passing patterns over the middle....the middle was wide open. 3. The GB /Vikings game was a warning that the bears better bring a tighter Pass defense. Also, the Oline on both teams has monster personnel. I am afraid the pressure so far will not be enough to get to the QBs when the Bears play them. 4 Both Sam and love had some pressure but somehow found an open man. 5. It did appear 1 time that a Bear receiver came back to help out when on most good teams there seems to be someone frequently coming come back to help the QB. 6. Fields is playing in conservative Offensive game plan. Thus With his receivers making some ridicules catches, the Steelers are in the games long as the D keeps it close.. When he throws deep, he is still missing receivers. The game plan for Williams is to just copy the GB offense. It is simple and effective.....if....they execute..... to execute they must block.........what seems to be the problem....the blocking technique is quite simple that even the Bears Oline should be able to accomplish that. Good Luck next week.
But you’re supposed to let a rookie QB ride the bench for two yearrrrrrsss….theyll never developppppp LMAO these ppl don’t know wtf they’re talking about
Meanwhile, the "the other Heisman Trophy winner and 2nd QB chosen", Jayden Daniels is 1st for rookies and 3rd in the NFL in QBR of 107.1. He has led his team to a 3-1 record and his much less talented team sit atop in their division standings. In their last two games he's lead his team to over 80 points of offense, 7 TDs and 1 INT while completing nearly 90% of his passes and over 400 rushing yards. But don't call him a "generational talent". Let's leave that to Trevor and Caleb. I think it's way past time to stop talking about the QB you traded and acknowledge the QB you got.
Oh god everyone is in their panties about “generational talent “ label. Daniels won a heisman and went #2 in the draft. Clearly he had immense potential. Washington as 1 more win than Chicago, whooptie doo. Daniels has a hotter start than caleb but that doesn’t mean hes gonna have a tom brady like career. Give these guys time before we start crowning them a bust or the next legend.
There also only letting Daniels throw outside the numbers and short passes and screens in the long run Caleb will develop better , there asking Caleb Williams to read and attack all levels of the field lol Daniels threw to MOF and got picked
Who cares about Jaden fucking Daniels? He’s doing good let’s give him my hand clap he face no top 10 defense yet. You act like he had been against the Baltimore Ravens the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Chicago Bears.

Already, they are trying to restrict Caleb's growth in the same way they did to Justin and Mitch. Peyton Manning threw 28 interceptions his first year and then ended up beating their Bears while we put up Rex Grossman.
Thank you man. Briggs sounds insufferable at times. Caleb isnt going to make every throw in year one but the one thing you can watch him do is make smarter decisions. No throws in obvious tight coverages, no ints, make plays to convert 3rd downs. The way they tell it, they act like they were the legion of boom with lovie. They were a really good defense but you would think they were the steel curtain of the 2000s
Ummm...no. Caleb has every play available to him and the staff has entrusted him with on field adjustments and decision making. 100%- Briggs ripping on Tory Taylor had me shakin my head.
