Yeah it’s great for getting the trapped water out of areas that the towel can’t get to and for drying the wheels and tyres but I think a towel for the main body of the car for speed is best.
David use the blower to get around 80% of the water off then use a detail spray as a drying aid I love yumcars detail spray and dry with a towel mint m8. Another tip jet wash your brushes and wheel mitt off before you put them back in your clean water in the wheel bucket hope this helps pal.
Hi Carl, depending on the wheels sometimes I do that sometimes I don’t, I get the thought process behind it but unless wheels are super dirty I don’t bother. I’ve not tried any of the yum range, it’s a brand ive been meaning to try for a while tho.
David try the yumwheels yumundress yumdressv2 this combination is unreal on wheels and tyres ALL there products are amazing m8 plus nick who ownes the company is super helpful.
Thanks guys, looking forward to seeing how the performance lasts over the summer. I'm hoping that with polishing before hand and using the QD ill get the full year out of it on this car. Its a very user friendly product, i can understand why so many recommend it. Ill need to try the new stuff next when i get a get for it.
Thanks mate, Yep I’m getting there now. I never thought I’d make it to that milestone when I first started out so im really over the moon that im nearly there.
Eventually yeah i will do something with it but i have a fair few other videos lined up that i need to get through first, unless IW want to send it down for me to try 😂😂😂😂
I’m the same with the Skoda thats ceramic coated but I can’t bare to just dry an call it finished I always get the same brands QD out for a little something extra 😅
It just felt so odd finishing the process after drying the car, I guess this should get the longest life out of the coating tho with that extra sacrificial layer on there.
Good video Dave, I'll be interested to see how long the product lasts against the product longevity claims on the bottle. I have had a few really good Infinity Wax products but also a few that were underwhelming so will be good to see as the VW returns for future washes. The wash looked super easy and like you, I find it difficult to just walk away after a wash. Nearly 1000 subs so with luck you will hit it in the next week and fully deserved always a good honest videos. Top channel👍
Yeah I’m in the same boat as you with the IW stuff, had some really great products from them but also a couple I’ve ended up being not overly impressed with. I have high hopes for this though as I’ve seen some positive posts on it. I’m looking forward to having that 1000 sub monkey off my shoulder mate so the sooner the better.
@@taylorthrall7321 I just uploaded an 8 month update on this a couple of days ago. Still going very strong over the majority of the car, few areas starting to slow but I suspect they just need a bit of fallout remover to bring them back to life.
Like I've said before I ran a side by side over winter between this and cancoat. Water performance on cancoat is light years ahead, but both coating are still performing well. But the synergy, my god its been horrendous for water spotting. Always dried well so must just be from rain somehow
I’m planning a video on using can coat soon, after what you said its something I’ve been trying to work into a video. I think the Sahara rain deposits just took over this one but I’ll keep an eye out for water spots over the next month and see how it looks when it comes back to me in May. Did you have any water spotting issues with can coat?
@@DavidMcBay The cancoat only had ever so slight waterspots after I rinsed a shed load of salt off one day and didn't dry the car, but it cleared off with the next wash with BH Autofoam, it definitely seems less prone to it. Got the new acidic carpro shampoo to try on the synergy this weekend to see if it csn clear it up as it's quite bad really.
You’ll need to let me know how you get on with that mate, I’m thinking now with the weather getting better and less salt that spotting won’t be as much of an issue over the summer
Can coat won’t water spot so much as it’s not actually a ceramic coating. The 2 get compared a lot and are quite similar in many ways. Can coat uses a siloxane liquid silicone wax not ceramic resin. If you dry out some can coat it will go rubbery where as lite will solidify rock hard.
Thanks Graeme, no not yet mate. I was meant to send it back down to them but cause I had covid couldn’t get to the post office. I only actually remembered I need to do that when I made this video 🤣
A year on, is the car still protected and looking as good as it does here? Also, can the infinity wax ceramic be used on glass? looks like it would be ideal for windscreens, in Edinburgh so raining 90% of the time. Good video!
It sure does, I documented how well it held throughout the year. If you have a look at this video The BEST Ceramic Coating for DIY use? ruclips.net/video/qT4CtTITVJE/видео.html it kind of sums up the product over the year. I’ve never tried it on glass but I done a bit of a comparison between a few glass coatings and found that gtechniq and glaco were the 2 that stood out for me
@@DavidMcBay I’ll give that video a watch! Thanks again for posting these videos, helps people like me decide wether to buy and try instead of just going in blind.
Im sure i have seen people use these although the blower i used is very powerfull and has a hot air function so not sure if a leaf would be any quicker but it certainly would be a cheaper alternative.
@@DavidMcBay I was thinking of buying one as I don’t think I need the heat as I don’t want to dry the water but blow it off the panel , and I presume the leaf blower will have a bigger tube so it can cover more area, yesterday I was washing in direct sunlight and I got a black car and I had to dry one side of the car super quick , I think in the sun a towel is quicker and using a rinse aid and then a open end hose to sheet the water off to avoid a lot of beading
Hi Mark, funnily enough it’s sitting on my drive just now waiting for the rain to go off so I can give it a wash, it’s now 8 months in and appears to be performing very well still
I’ve never actually used 3 CS so can’t speak for its durability, however I have noticed a huge difference between applying some ceramic waxes with 6 months durability compared to this lite ceramic and with very little maintenance the light ceramic blows them away in terms of durability.
Totally agree, the blower takes longer ... I have been using a drying towel, then blowing out the mirrors afterwards if needed

Another excellent video, the way the water moved off the panel was fantastic and it really looked like quite an effortless wash
Thank you very much! it really was very easy
Well made video Dave, good to see lite is performing as it should.

They have loads of great products. Not tried there ceramic light or coatings yet
Yeah your spot on mate, some fantastic products in the range. Looking forward to trying out the new coating they have just released
Another cracking video Dave 👍🏼👍🏼 I would struggle with just drying and walking away lol
Car looks 👌🏼 great results
Thanks Mark,
Yeah it was a really strange feeling just drying up then being able to call it a day, as you seen i couldn't help myself though.
Cracking video as always buddy.
Close to 1000 I see

Great video again Dave, Infinity Wax have some cracking products. Are you planning to do anything with the new coating that they have just released?
