You can't shy away from the fact that religious extremism in Pakistan and secularism in India has to play a very big role in the difference of their development.
Even if you bring Secularism then still nothing will change in Pakistan. Problem is the resource and power hungry Pakistan Army. They will continue to divert money to their benefit. Solution is to control the generals of Pakistan Army and tell them to stop interfering in every department and government of Pakistan.
There are many Developed Muslim country as well but their basic funda is clear - Who they are'. Pakistan still in denial of their own heritage as they become Arabs on Monday, turks on Tuesday etc. Be confident on who you are and who were your ancestors. Prime example is Indonesia. It is very true for middle class Indians. My grandparents were very poor living in their village, even after my grandfather died way before my father got job it was very difficult time for them. But in the end all the sacrifices did turn well. My parents are Govt School teachers. And they gave me and my sister a better lifestyle in the city than what they had

I come from a family that depended on agriculture for decades. It sort of worked out for a time when most of the country was agrarian. However, post economic liberalization in 1991, things started changing rapidly. The cost of products and services grew so much that it was difficult to fund our purchase of goods and services month on month, based on bi annual payout that agriculture provided. That coupled with irregular rainfall from 2000 to 2004 only made matters worse. That's when my lower middle class parents did their best to educate me and my brother, so that we will have a chance to face the challenges. My father never bought a dress for himself in months or may be years. My grandmother used to save up money she earned from selling milk from the 2 cows she had to pay for our school fees. I graduated in 2009 and got a Job in one of the MNCs. I was able to help fund my brother's college education and he is now a manager in one of the state run banks and a member of regional audit panel. We were able to comfortably look after our parents and grandparents Until we lost them one by one slowly in the past 14 - 15 years.

Yes the middle class struggle was definitely real. My father tells stories about 70s and his struggles. He used to wake up in the morning work in the field and take care of the domestic animals and then go to school. And after returning from school he again had to go to the field and take care of animals in the evening and then self study at night and repeat this process again and again. @@sirahmad yes Isro launched 104 satellites in a single launch and it was a World Record in 2015. Then starlink did 105 last year in the year 2022 I think. India can do 200 satellites in a single launch now, if needed.

Well, the situation we are in today was bound to happen, we got many shocks over the decades and many warning signs but we didn't make any policy, India got the warning sign in the 80s and 90s, so they reformed their economy under the leadership of PM Narasimha Rao, and at the time it was a rare sight in India to have a stable govt, you had a coalition govt back then and it was difficult for India to transform from an economy influenced by soviet type socialism to a strong economy, although there are issues still they are small.
After it was pointed out I realised it's so true. We had Quiz Time India by Siddharth Basu and World This Week by Pranoy Roy. There was another science program with experiments rolled in by Yashpal sir.....true our parents and us children screwed our happiness on grades and entrance exam 😂. And all this 30 years ago in small middle class home of small towns of India. Dhoni and Virat are small town guys too!!

You can't shy away from the fact that religious extremism in Pakistan and secularism in India has to play a very big role in the difference of their development.

But in the end all the sacrifices did turn well. My parents are Govt School teachers. And they gave me and my sister a better lifestyle in the city than what they had

I was able to help fund my brother's college education and he is now a manager in one of the state run banks and a member of regional audit panel. We were able to comfortably look after our parents and grandparents Until we lost them one by one slowly in the past 14 - 15 years.

He used to wake up in the morning work in the field and take care of the domestic animals and then go to school. And after returning from school he again had to go to the field and take care of animals in the evening and then self study at night and repeat this process again and again. Well, the situation we are in today was bound to happen, we got many shocks over the decades and many warning signs but we didn't make any policy, India got the warning sign in the 80s and 90s, so they reformed their economy under the leadership of PM Narasimha Rao, and at the time it was a rare sight in India to have a stable govt, you had a coalition govt back then and it was difficult for India to transform from an economy influenced by soviet type socialism to a strong economy, although there are issues still they are small.
After it was pointed out I realised it's so true. We had Quiz Time India by Siddharth Basu and World This Week by Pranoy Roy. There was another science program with experiments rolled in by Yashpal sir.....true our parents and us children screwed our happiness on grades and entrance exam 😂. And all this 30 years ago in small middle class home of small towns of India. Dhoni and Virat are small town guys too!!
