something you can do to make explosions look somewhat realistic is have an empty compartment in your plane and fill it with a bunch of smoke cannon and trail all spaced apart. that way, when the compartment explodes' all the smoke cannons and trails go flying making it look like an explosion

You have to turn on “explode one impact” and set the speed, If you want it to blow up at any speed collisions, Put impact speed to low. If you want it to only explode at high speed collisions, Set it a bit higher.
