Jeffrey Buttle, a Canadian figure skater and choreographer, won the bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics. He became world champion in 2008, won the titles at the Four Continents Championships in 2002 and 2004 and was Canadian champion from 2005 to 2007. On March 22, 2008, Buttle became the first Canadian since Elvis Stojko in 1997 to win the world title.
