I love the speckly ones too! Loved getting to see all the fish at your store!! Thanks for the tour🤗 I just filmed a few clips last night without turning my mic on too 🤦♀️😂 19:20 nice pipes, girl 💪
Kaity, the colour strain of your 'moo cow' molly's are known as the 'dalmation molly', named after the dalmation dog. Also, molly's are really susceptable to ich if the water temp drops too much (the all black anyway, not too sure about the dalmations)
That's the ones!! That name is also very fitting 🤣 And thank you so much for that advice, I didn't know that was the case with them. Sounds like I'll definitely need to heat it for them or bring them inside for the Winter 👀
Another top video, Kaity. I am liking your garden pond, and you are so lucky to have the climate (for most of the year) to keep the likes of mollies and guppys outside with no heating (not like cold, miserable UK!). I have both of these species in my community tank (I have the normal dalmatian molly, not balloon), and I love watching their constantly active lives. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! I love the Dalmatian mollies, they are adorable! I will likely need to heat it in Winter especially with the mollies. But we are lucky it doesn't get too cold
In my opinion, Dojo loach are the most wonderful pet fish I've experienced multiple times throughout my life. Most mine love swimming into my hands and love eating food from my hand. Especially live house fly's.
Hi Kaity, your local store is so great, there is a huge variety of fish and products as well. By the way, your outdoor pond looks nice. I especially love the balloon mollies, as far as I'm concerned, they are obtained through selective breeding. I think some neocaridina shrimp would look great. Thanks for the video, have a nice weekend!!!
Hey, fellow QLDer here, we’ve got a similar sized pond out the front of my parents house in Hervey Bay, filled with about 50 wild caught guppies (some mollies and gudgeon!) and they have been in there for about 8 years with very little intervention, even feeding happens maybe 2 times a year, and they handle winter there just fine somehow. I was worried they would have trouble because a good few of them were obviously someone’s pets given how vividly coloured some of the male guppies are. Anyway love the channel! Discovered you today and I thought I was the only person who went out and trapped for aquarium fish 😂
one small thing to add: wild bettas do prefer softer water but the majority of available bettas are splendens bred in neutral ph so they typically do best in around the 6.8-7.6 range.
Another great video! I just absolutely love the little pond, I've mentioned that before. I wish that's something that I could do here in the United States, but I live in Minnesota, so it wouldn't be running for very long outside with our extreme weather changes :) So I'll just have to admire yours lol I love love those cichlid tanks of yours and enjoy seeing those each time as well. You have done such an awesome job with all your videos and can't wait to see you hit 100,000 also!
Awwww, thank you so much Mindy, I appreciate it so much! 🙏🏼 and I'm glad you can live vicariously through my pond lol. I've always wanted to experience more extreme seasons but I guess it's good for keeping things like fish when it's pretty stable year round!
Hi kaity another great video of your local fish store and your outside garden pond is coming along amazing I just love when you upload a new video i can’t wait for the next video 😊 And the Tanganyikan tank is looking a lot better 😊
The Oriental Weatherloach also known as dojo loach in the hobby is illegal to own in all of Australia I believe because they are an invasive species in our waterways.
You know what might be cool, if you were to put a soft blue light in your pond. Like a moonlight in there. You could turn it on at night when it's dark without the porch light on and watch the fishies swimming around. It might add some ambiance to your chill area. You could chill out there, clear your mind, and work on your addition. 😜 P.S. - I'm jealous of the aquarium shops you have around there.
Hi Kaity whats the name of the treatment you used for the cyanobacteria? Love the update on the guppy pond look sso much better now with the bowl rathe rthan the hassle of the rectangular tank :)
Are you going to overwinter the guppies in your outdoor pond? Im wanting to add some to mine, but I am sceptical because I've heard they are sensitive to the cold weather. Would it be worth adding a heater?
I've heard mixed things about them! Some people around Brisbane have said that for ponds that get a lot of sunlight they have warmed up enough during the day to fare ok at night in Winter. But I've got mollies too which apparently are even more sensitive to cold so I'm going to bring them indoors for the Winter instead of putting a heater outside
Hii kaity..first of all I am your big fan and also I am a aquascaper and and my qns is that my fish tank water is smelling continue..it's not be overstock, water is also be clean and also i put activated charcoal in my canister filter but after that my fish tank smell..then what should I do for smell-less aquarium tank ?
My children are really enjoying the content and wanting me to set them up with a pond. Could you confirm the type of pond you are using? Sorry if this has already been asked and answered in the comments - I tried looking but you have so many!
I don't think so 😭 Apparently guppies night do ok here in Brisbane, but I was told the mollies will definitely not make it even through our milder Winters. I'm not sure about the Platys though
Not at the moment! I think because of where I live there's not a lot of frogs and snakes nearby. You could probably put some type of pond net over it though if it was an issue

I think more research should be done on these fish and many other fish species. Kaity if you ever want to try and catch wild caught aquarium fish from all over the world, then contact one of the many youtubers that do this in Florida. You would be amazed on the catches.
You should use that square little tank to create a Betta heaven!!! 😍😍 Just a tiny filter, a few Corys and some stones, wood and plants!
LOVE that outdoor chill area. It looks so relaxing! Great video! :)
Thank you so so much Travis 😊🙏🏼

Great seeing the evolution of the outdoor setup!
I went to MAD for the first time on Wednesday, got some great fish, service and advice. Will def be back.
It was very nice to watch this video.Thank you so much Kaity!! 😊🙏
Hi Kaity, I must say that round bowl does go really well with the round pot. Dilly dilly. :)

Great update I am building a new pond myself love this hobby

I don’t why but your videos are very relaxing, would love to see more of the outdoor nature stuff before it gets too cold over there.
Awww, thank you, I appreciate it 😊 Yes I'd love to do an outdoor video again! That would be heaps of fun
those merch designs were sick!

😊😊😊
Pacific blue eyes would be a great fish for the pond and native aswell. May be a little drab compared to the mollies and guppies tho I guess
They are definitely a great option too!
It becames a Perfect pound ❤

I would love to do that at some point!

light is necessary for plant's growth ?
I believe so, yes!
Mollies actually do far better in full salt water then brackish or freshwater, they find them off the coast of mexico
That's so cool 😯
Do you have a mosquito in your place?
Ourside ponds make mosquitos less. The fish eat the mosquito
