    Please refer me to the part where he talks about the mistakes spiritual seekers commit which turn the pursuit of spirituality into an ego-building and confusion-creating endeavor, based on the idea that ego development is counter to spiritual progress. I’m lost as to the idea of building vs developing the ego

    Please someone help me understand how can anyone choose a teacher considering the sexual abuse and cruel acts committed by Chogyam Trungpa. I don't mean to criticize or offend, but it's impossible for me to reconcile these teachings because in my mind it looks like the perfect trap. What better teacher than Trungpa can anyone find! Should we assume that an abusive teacher is what we deserve because of our karma, and let him do whatever he wants with us? I'm really trying to make sense of this.

      You are confusing whether we should like Trungpa as a person with his teachings.

      I think anybody who asks such questions should st least try sitting meditation for a while.

      For me, such questions remind me if how westerners come to our continent Africa and thought and think they knew more about us than ourselves
      The answer is, stay with not knowing, it is also sn snswer
