    Time for a air filter change out.

      Anything smaller than an airport is one way I have heard it. But I'd say it is anything where a normal takeoff and landing angle may not be possible due to obstructions/terrain.

      Initially I was taught PAWOTFEEL (I personally don't use it anymore), but I've also heard of 4 x S & H... Many acronyms in aviation and usually many ways to do the same thing. Using an off-airport acronym or not, you should be good as long as you are methodical, sensible & safe in your assessment of the approach, landing and take off (and be ready to abort).
