There are multiple types of plywood with multiple grade.
Even HDHMR is only resistance. But BWP plywood comes as water proof and termite proof
if you choose BWP marine grade plywood you will never be disappointed in any case

Exactly my views, the only thing I would like to add is to make the doors/shutters with HDHMR as plywood door can tend to bend being too heavy, isn't it?
In 18mm boards for modular kitchen and wardrobe this is what I found:
303 grade BWR of local brand 60-79rs < Cement board of Bison Panel (don't know other brands yet you may suggest) 72rs < 710 grade BWP of local brand 80-95rs
Density wise Hdhmr is high you can screw it 20 time's at one place... nothing will change
Another point in favor of HDHMR is, it don't catch fire so easily, compared to Ply.
So it's more safe..
Also, the surface smoothness of HDHMR is better. The finish comes better on HDHMR..

WPC mai screw holding capacity nahi hoti acchi isliye ab use nahi hote ye.
Sir can we use plywood and use pvc board for termite resistance at back of almirah
yes and also discuss it with your carpenter about the thickness of pvc board. better put ply on back and then clad it with some PVC board.
PVC board does not provide screw holding capacity. Use BWP 710 grade plywood for water proof
What to use in making room partition ply vs hdhmr
Go with HDHMR
You have forgotten to include ACTION TESA BOILO . How it would be , if sliding or openable wardrobe be made using BOILO instead of ply wood ? Please respond and post your opinion .
Don't use for shutter due to heavy weight for structures it's best.
