Greetings, I'm Tim of Govberg and welcome to the world of Hublot. Today I'll be your guide to the proper usage, care and maintenance of your Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Moonphase Titanium. Now this is an automatic winding timepiece by means of case back winding rotor. However, should you wish to manually wind the timepiece, first take the crown in its first position flush to the case, and screw it counter clockwise until you feel it pop out of its threaded sleeve. Now, in the first position, turn 20 to 30 turns in a clockwise direction. You'll know that the watch is operating because the constant seconds hand in the register at nine o'clock will begin to advance. Now you can set the watch. Set the moon phase, set the time, and in the natural course of kinetic action on the wrist, the watch will keep winding itself, remaining energized as long as its worn. Should you wish to fully energize the watch up to its maximum rated power reserve of approximately 50 hours, simply continue turning in a clockwise direction. Due to the bridle style main spring which slips to relieve any excess strain, you cannot accidentally overwind this timepiece. Simply listen for the subtle click or tick from within the watch as the bridle slips, that's your audible sign that the watch is fully wound.
Now there are a number of functions that will allow you to set the watch's time, date and moon phase precisely and quickly. The first is known as the stop seconds function. It's engaged by pulling the crown out two [inaudible 00:01:33] from flush to the case. Now you note that the seconds hand is halted. Halt the seconds hand at the index at 60, and then go online and find an atomic clock. The US Naval Observatory maintains one that's publicly accessible. Set the watch as per your specific time zone to the same hour, the next nearest minute. You've already synchronized the index at 60. Wait until the atomic clock catches up to match the appropriate hour, minute and second, and then push the crown back in. Now, the seconds hand continues to beat, the watch has resumed its function, and you've synchronized against the reference time.
Now you can also use a quick set function for the date to rapidly cycle the double digit date should the watch run down or encounter an irregular length month. Take note, whatever direction you turn, you will advance the date in the linear forward fashion. Advance the date to the correct date corresponding to your calendar, but take note, this function should never be used between eight pm and three am as that's the period during which the watch is automatically jumping the date. Attempting to use the quick set during that period will crash and damage the movement.
Moreover, water resistance is not a static feature of a timepiece, and over time lubricants and seals will age and degrade. The watch will be relatively less water resistant, therefore Hublot recommends having the watch water tested at an authorized service center minimally once per year to ensure that factory-rated hermeticity is retained.
Magnetism is a ubiquitous threat that affects the Ferris hair spring at the center of your watch's balance. Effectively, this is the watch's heartbeat. A magnetized watch will run erratically fast or slow. As a result to proximity to speakers, subwoofers, MRI equipment, the closures of purses, wallets, and refrigerator doors. And once withdrawn from the interference, the watch may remain magnetized. So the watch is automatic, i can just put it kn th winding machine and it will be ok ? Or do i have to self wind it manually between time to time ?

See the rotor in the back? If you wear it at least every second day or keep it in a winding box it will be running until the friction destroys the mechanism. But if you can't do any of this, you can also wind it manually. That's actually quite common feature for automatic watches.
