i really hope Chronixx and the rest of the artists in the reggae revival movement take over music on a BIGGER level....Bob kinda level.....the world needs the messages and the positivity
Preachh!
yeah mon also check out Tuff like Iron
That is so true big up you da know Jamaica🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥🌃🌃🌃
MAD MAD MAD! Jesse and Chronixx and Kabaka and Proteje are just the TIP! If you saw how many young youts in Jamaica there are with talent (and no direction) you'd understand how important it is for this kinda music to get ratings. So many youts turned to bleach and tattoos as soon as Vybz Kartel did anything. Chronixx and these man can really set positive trends. Do what Peter Tosh and Bob and the forefathers tried to do - change Jamaica and the world for the better.
R.I.P Garnett Silk, Sugar Minott, Peter Tosh, Panhead, Nitty Gritty, Nicodemus, Tenor Saw, Dennis Brown and all of the shining lights that dimmed too soon. Jamaica to the world!
such a refreshing feeling to see young men know themselves in the purest form and shining their light unapologetically in unity. bless up!
it´s a blessing to see artists from mine generation coming up, with a extra positive message like protoje chronixx kabaka among others...from a long time reggae revival was just a tough , with this new wave coming up strong and with this message it´s impossible not to grow even more, and become our movement our age mark on reggae music.... big up reggae music!!!
Every Time it Rains on Reggea Mountain,it's Just the Tears of Bob Marley happy that Rasta Music is alive and well

The only way to heal the injustice of the past is to forgive in the moment so that you can arrive in the future unchained
I just noticed a lot of things, watching this second part of the series. First, there were no subtitles when the people were speaking, and I could understand what they were saying, lol. So there's certainly a difference in accents between the folks interviewed in this part of the series, and those interviewed in the dancehall part, which demonstrated to me a class difference. Secondly, and to add on to the first point, the class-ism going on in Jamaica that evidently permeates the music industry, was also made evident just by observing how the people in this portion of the series presented themselves in comparison to those in the dancehall portion. The people shown here talk different, look different, express themselves differently, and attract different consumers/crowds to their music. Like, no multi-coloured wigs, tattoo covered bodies, weird-looking bleached skin, hyper-sexualised portrayals of oneself etc. And at the end of the video when you see the artists performing live, the crowd looks middle to upper class. Even the vibes of the performances and the environment were just so different. It's like watching Jamaican hipsters, lol. Interesting.
Christine thank You. I noticed the same thing. I guess this in part explains the ‘desire’ some have to bleach. Let me explain. It was odd when I didn’t see any light skinned people in the first Jamaica installment that focused on dancehall. In this one you see them a lot and they seem well groomed, like you said even the accents are different. This speaks to a society where skin tone plays a big part in ones social standing. It shows strong classism and highlights a lack of nuance in how the first series was documented. The same can be said of this one as well, a deeper look needs to be taken because instead of highlighting a people in a fully nuanced and fleshed out way it now becomes a caricature that exacerbates tensions.
This is where reggae is at right now. Infinite understanding and positive consciousness. Big up from Aruba!
That little sneak peak at 2:35 got me fired up. I can't wait

The original Noisey Jamaica was a training wreck. I'm very happy I gave this a chance: Walshy Fire is a great idea for a host, and he manages to not find a way to make it about Vybz Kartel!! Salute
The Original one was more based on Dancehall.
