I'm quite disappointed that congb is not appreciated by you like ivan or xingxing. congb really touched my heart when he started the chorus, and of course the high notes and backing vocals were also perfect. Maybe Ivan surprised us, but Congb's skills and how to handle every detail were so good that he received a positive response from the coach. Hope you can watch the song's separate video to fully enjoy it. and of course congb's team did a great job and I'm proud of that.

As someone who uses a mixed voice (head and chest), I respect CongB as a vocalist. He is belting and his voice is so clear. I think you wanted his voice to have vibrato? Holding a stable note without vibrato is by no means a fault, and is a feat in itself as well since you leave yourself bare. It’s hard to use a pure chest voice like he does and it’s easy to go flat, so others like Xing Xing and Pentor use a mixed voice, sometimes dipping into pure head voice, because it’s easier to control pitch on the high notes. CongB stylistically starts the song in mixed voice, then belts from the chorus onwards, and doesn’t shy away from the high notes for the rest of the song whilst belting. He could’ve slipped in a mix here and there to be safe but he committed, which was very intentional and very few people can pull that off. Trust me, I currently can’t commit to that even if I wanted to. It’s likely why the Guiders reacted that way to CongB because they recognise the vocal prowess required. It’s a singer’s nightmare to crack during a live performance so sticking to belting like that was very brave and he did it so well.

Congb’s voice actually projected the most though, that’s why the audiences were so surprised. Probably not because if you did, you definitely wouldn't say "sloppy" =))) I agree that IVAN and Xing Xing's voices are really match the singing emotions and CongB simply isn't your style, however, his technique is good (that he was praised by the judges and he showed it from the beginning) or how hard he tried is undeniable!!! I won't judge or deny your opinion on how to evaluate the performance, however, CongB tried very hard so please don't use negative words to put him down (even though when you saw this reaction, you felt like you were inclined to underestimate CongB). Duan xing xing is my all rounder fav. in terms of performance xing xinv and ivan are very deep and convey the pain well and precisely. but in terms of technique cong B wins.
I have the same asessment as yours. Must admit CongB has the range, good pitch and fuller voice but he often sounded flat to me. Don't get me wrong he is still the best vocalist in the group. But Ivan and DuanXingXing are so underappreciated. Ivan need to have better pitch tho. He as a great potential. I think DuanXingXing should be given more chance as a vocalist. I prefer his intro than CongB's.

congb did help them but i agree and also disagree a bit with ur saying “congb who taught them can sing like this” please don’t act like congb is the reason they can sing. xingxing was already known as a good vocalist, ivan has done a lot of covers and even sang in public before, and pentor is clearly a singer in Thailand. congb did help them with harmonization & techniques to make them sound better as a group and thats it ! he’s not the reason they can sing !
