I saw this item at Walmart. My partner likes to golf. I made the purchase before seeing this video but feel pretty confident he'll enjoy it for Christmas! I may join and play sometimes also.
I have two budget mats and after they are rolled out the BIG issue is just getting the mat to FLAT. I've tried a little water, vacuuming, using a steamer. Drives me CrAzY!
Peter, now that you’ve had it for a bit, does the mat unroll smooth and flat easier than the first unboxing? I don’t want to buy it and have to work with it or iron it each time to get the mat flat.
Yes! From my experience this one has a much nicer mat, and the end piece helps it lay flat every time. The new V5 Perfect Putting Mats also have a different mat that always lays flat (sounds like they listened to feedback)
I dont understand, this mat is quite thick, therefore elevating your ball above your feet. If you get used to this enough, when it comes time to putt on an actual green you will top the ball because its been sitting above your feet on that mat all winter in practice. They really needed to include the same seperate mat to stand on for even ground. Poor design.

Great video panda

OMG Yes..I have two mats and neither ever rolls out flat. I have tried everything.

Is this the same mat material as the standard V4 or V5?
Good question! Hard to say for sure, Steve. I think it's the V4 if I had to guess.
@@petervonpandasent them an email. It is actually the V5 mat
Great review. thanks. Any strong smells after first setting it up?
Man I want this, hope it comes to Canada soon. Appreciate your golf reviews, jealous of all the great stuff!
Oh man, I'd have to imagine it would come to Canada soon!
Seems very well made, but putts on a green don't have a ramp 12'' in front of the hole, it's flat. Seems it would make my speed control worse.
I hear you. I also use the distance markings for lag training without putting it into the hole.
Looks super budget compared to the original
that's kind of the point

If you're topping putts you've got bigger problems than a practice mat being an 1/8th an inch above your feet

What the hell are you talking about? Are you for real? You must have an IQ hovering around 50 and you really suck at golf.
