It's been over 3 years, the game is old, all the good players left a long time ago. You're playing a console port filled with new players and zero competition. The only PC players that stayed around are most likely bots selling RMT to the war logging shell companies.

PVP seems to be very good and fun. Me on PS5 Level 65 struggling to get through PVE Solo with zero gold. So I'm not thinking about PVP yet.
