I put socks on the hands or scratch mits on the hands while I change the tops, it makes it easeir to feed the hands and arms through sleeves and stops any fingers snagging on the clothing as it goes on and off.

She's such a gorgeous baby. We once had out pet bunny manage to get into a drawer where my daughter kept her baby and chew a little hole in her nose. I was able to fix it, but I was amazed that she managed to get in there. Great tips in this video.

Thank you so much Misty. One of my first high-end dolls was an Annette Himpstead child doll. I still have him, he is Melvin. I made him into a girl at one point for a while and I put red socks on his feet with a red dress for Christmas. I was mortified to find that the red socks stained the bottom of his feet. And no, it does not come off. He has beautiful red mohair, and it has been really easy to take care of thankfully. It's not rooted, It's A Wig, so it's a different then my little reborn saskia and her rooted hair. I handle my dolls a lot and I'm always so worried I'm going to damage the paint.

Thank you for the informative video! I have a question if you have time to answer; How could I protect alternative reborns that have fur all over their body? How can I take care of the hair and make sure I don't ruin it? I know I had to be very careful but if you have any tips that would be awesome!
I would only use water if you need to wet it and use a very soft baby brush or makeup brush only if it is very fine to brush. Do not use a regular hairbrush or comb. The best thing to do is ask that specific artist for instructions on care. 💗

So I have a dog and am getting my first reborn but I don’t have a crib yet for her what should I do
I have seen some use a small laundry basket and put a pillow and a blanket in it for baby and use it as a crib, you can keep baby up from pets by placing it up on the dresser or a table. You can also use a tote or plastic Rubbermaid bin, basket 🧺 etc.

Thank you for explaining this. I am a collector that likes to hold my babies almost everyday. I want to make sure that I'm keeping my baby's protected.
How long does varnish usually last?
It depends on the varnish, how well the are varnished and how hard you are on the doll. I am very hands on and it takes a few years before I start seeing shine on fingers and toes.

I have a precious lil reborn boy, he is dark-skinned like this baby, and I got him second hand, I was wondering how I can take away some of his shine without ruining his pain? He means everything to me and I don't want him getting ruined

I have a sleeping baby girl on my table now but she will be bi-racial. I am experimenting with new ethnic paints and want to start off light on this baby girl first and go a little darker each time. 💗

My mini vinyl doll is from Ashton drake and the description of the doll said it’s made with “artists vinyl” can I still wipe and powder my dolls when dusty? Also I had another question they also say not to put the dolls in direct sunlight but what if I coated them with uv protectant?? My dad uses it for his woodworking but he told me they have some that are for vinyl so could I do that?
You and wipe down you babies with a soft cloth and warm water only, I would not use any chemicals on them.

You don’t wash them, but you can wipe them down if needed with a damp soft cloth.
I just got my first vinyl reborn last week how often should you change your reborn? I change mine 2 times a day everyday but will that effect the paint if the paint is sealed?
Yep 👍🏻 over time it definitely will. The varnish will eventually rub off and your doll will become shiny in areas.
@@KitstoKradlesNursery ok thank you so how often is ok to change them? Every 2 days? Once a week? I am new to the reborn hobby and I'm trying to make sure I don't damage my reborn in any way I've changed him 14 times the past week I have not noticed any paint or shiny spots on him.
