Oh how I miss Ecuador. Been there 3 times and usually stayed in Quito. I ventured to Banos and had a lovely time there. Watching this video reminded me of the beauty of Ecuador. Stay Bless 😊
Thank you so much. We LOVE Quito as well. Such a charming city. We have a few vlogs on Quito you can check out and become nostalgic😂. Ecuador is indeed such a beautiful country. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏🏾
Hello my favorite Ecuadorian couple! Love love love your videos and can't wait to visit and possible call it home. I have been working your references!
Hi Tonya, good to hear from you. I'm happy to hear you're exploring my references and doing the needful. I just saw your email. I'll respond shortly. Thanks for the love ❤️
Cries in Canadian because for a house the size of that one, the electric bill would be around $300 a month. That is a lot of house and property for such a great price! I would be spending every evening in that Jacuzzi tub!! The market and festivities, you would have to be very disciplined to not spend all of your money buying everything up haha Thank you again for sharing another beautiful video with us all! 💖💖
I know right! It's such a good deal. All three bathrooms having bathtubs was such a sweet deal. The jacuzzi, the fruit trees, peaceful location make it so worth it. And yes you need a whole lot of self restraint to go through that artisanal market. There were so many beautiful things. Thanks for watching and commenting ❤️
Thanks so much. Jurgen is Johannes' brother, but they're both in the real estate business here, and reliable. I'm sure you'll have a good experience with either of them.
@@TheXplorasDiary Did they help you find your current condo? Its lovely. Tasteful. Are seeing more properties available, now , with all the circumstances?
wow, this is such a great video. it is making me feel homesick for a home i never knew existed. i cant wait until i am able to take steps to move there and live a happy life.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting❤️. I always say it's hard to visually capture the complexity of Ecuador in videos. I recommend an exploratory trip before choosing Ecuador as your forever home, because just like anywhere in the world, it has it's pros and cons. It's best to make sure it's the right place for you before taking the necessary steps to call it home.
Thanks Guys !!!! 🙂 Another beauty. You do exceptional work. It was nice to see all the greenery (trees, bushes, plants in Paute area. I looked up on EC map. Looks to be about 30 miles from north edge of Cuenca. Seem right? You'd need to check out 'hot water tank', or on demand hot water heater (big electricity) for tubs🙂 Loved the red/BLK bag you picked up. I was yelling into monitor, "buy it, buy it!!! and calculating how many vegetable/fruit bags would fit into it for quick market trip. Wonderful crafts/artisans. Aloe vera drink : orange? had turmeric in it? I used to make that. Interesting to 'swollow' . ha ha. Really good for you, though. Love your flowing trousers. Did you take advantage of the $5./Amazon while it lasted? You are very blessed to be there, despite little inconveniences. the US is very 'squirrelly' ..... putting it nicely. Thanks for lovely work. See you soon. (I'm probably going to have to snowshovel my way out of here but I'm escaping!!!!! 🙂SOON
Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, Paute is lush and green, and apparently, a few degrees warmer than Cuenca. It's worth checking out, if you don't mind living 45 mins away from the city. You'd need a car tho. The aloe vera drink didn't have tumeric in, to my knowledge. I think it had some agave syrup in it. Unfortunately, i wasn't able to take advantage of the $5 Amazon shipping before it ended. My things are still sitting in the cart 😂

Glad you loved the property. It's in an area called Paute, which is about 45mins away from the city of Cuenca. Cuenca is the closest city to it. if that's what tour asking.
😂😂😂 Totally understand, we're all not built for the country side life. Unless you have a car to be driving to and from the city. It's more convenient and exciting to live close to the heart of all the action.
We thought Ecuador would be the perfect place to go until the electricity outages fires and water rationing started. How are you guys dealing with that down there?
I want to know too. I was in Cuence a year ago and already they were cutting electricity for two hours a day. Now I hear it's up to six hours a day. I still love Ecuador.
To be honest, we're part of the fortunate few who live in a building with a generator, and so we haven't felt the severity of the power outages, like many others. Also, it's True. The fires have been rampant and intense, we simply avoid going outside when the air quality is bad So far, we haven't had any water issues where we live in our apartment building, but I have heard talks of water rationing if we don't get some rain soon. We're just taking things a day at a time, making the best out of our situation, and seeing how things go.
@@TheXplorasDiary thanks for your reply. I really enjoy your videos. The style and production values are completely different from anyone else’s. It’s a completely different perspective and they’re very very good.
Noo unfortunately, OctoFries travelled from Quito to be here in Cuenca for the festival weekend. I wish they had a place here as well, cuz the fries were amazing. If you're looking for good fries here in Cuenca, Sunrise Cafe and Bodega XD have some pretty good ones though.
The food was wonderful here. It all came to about $18. Also, i think highest temperatures 60F - 70F at most. It's up in the mountains so it's mostly cool, with some beautiful sunny days and cool nights.

Is there public transportation to Cuenca?

In online Cuenca expat Facebook Groups and newspapers, residents are saying it’s up to twelve hours a day.

Hi, can you please provide any information about the guys who were showing you the property.
Does the OctoFries place have a location in Cuenca? I am a sucker for French fries!

We're surviving, and making the best out of the situation. Praying we get some rains soon tho.
Food looked awesome. How much did y’all’s entire meal end up being? Also what was the average high temp in that area?

The quality of the apartments for the price just blows all apartments in the US away.
