How do I change the filter for the Ultralight mask? I bought extra filters and the valves are different from this, they're once piece on a hinge. Any videos explaining how to do this?
Hi,
All valves fit the same way on the filter please see the video showing a filter being changed.

So how often should the mask and filter material be washed ?
CLEANING AND REPLACEMENT OF RESPRO® FILTERS respromasks.com/2020/04/27/cleaning-and-replacement-of-respro-filters/
The old one has to be thrown not to wash and reuse right ?!
Hi,
The filters do need replacing.
The effective working life of Respro® filters depends on a number of factors, such as; the breathing rate of the user; ambient levels of pollution; the length of time the filter is actively working; hygiene levels. Taking these factors into account we recommend that the filter should be replaced every month or every 69 hours, whichever is sooner.
To maintain good hygiene, you may wash the mask and filter.
You can find washing instructions here: respromasks.com/2020/04/27/cleaning-and-replacement-of-respro-filters/
If you have any more questions, please email customer services. respro.com/contact
Hope this helps!
What about filters for the valves themselves?
You can close your valves if necessary with RESPRO® VALVE BLOK™ ruclips.net/video/M6dcl91diaA/видео.html
@Respromasks will I have to buy the white part (I think filter) everytime? Or I can simply wash it in boiled water.
Yes, the filters do need replacing.

Hygiene:
One aspect that does need consideration if you are using the mask regularly for a long period of time, is the hygiene aspect.
Quick Cleaning process: We now have added a water based Sanitiser to our range, it is non Toxic, kills 99.9% of all common germs and bacteria and is hand sized and an excellent travel product for everyday use. respro.com/store/product/respro-sanitiser - best used on a daily basis. Please visit the following link to see the how to clean a mask using the Resprp® sanitiser spray
ruclips.net/video/0-AkTgn0OB4/видео.html
Standard cleaning process: To ensure good hygiene/care measures we suggest that you place the filter and valves in a pan of freshly boiled water (remove pan from heat source before putting filter in) and let it cool down. Remove the filter unit from the water and allow to stand dry.
This procedure will remove facial oils that may build up over a period of continuous use and will also remove some of the particulates and organic vapour that will be present within the Charcoal structure of the filter or tissue salt build in the valves.
If the mask cover requires washing this should be done by carefully removing the filter assembly and then washing the outer casing in warm soapy water and then left to dry naturally.
@@ResproMasks is it necessary to replace the valves? I see alot of the replacement filters are sold with new valves. Is it the filter primarily that keeps you protected or the valve aswell? Thank you
@@roumifyouwnt2 The valves should not need replacing on a regular basis assuming that they are maintained properly. On a monthly basis, it is advisable to flush the valves through with warm water, allow to dry and apply a little talcum powder to prevent the valve from sticking. On the Powa valve, it is essential that you locate the two pins, nearest the hinge, properly into the body of the valve, and check that they are seated properly. respro.com/pg/faqs#faq8
@@ResproMasks great thank you for tour response
@Respro Masks can i wash the white part with warm water and reuse it?
Hi Betim, You can hand wash the filter. respromasks.com/cleaning-your-respro-filter/
Thank you very much! ❤️

Hi, You can gently hand wash the filter. respromasks.com/cleaning-your-respro-filter/
I have one of these masks and i use it for welding. is it safe or pointless?
+deltafox399j What model do you have?
+Respro Masks i dont know. its blue and instead of saying TECHNO on the side, it says CITY
@@deltafox399j Don't know if you're still wondering, but fellow welder here. It depends on the filter, but most of these are N95 or N99 filters. If you don't have oil aerosols around (ask the safety manager) you will be safe from chromium, aluminium, and zinc oxide as well as making OSHA happy. Hope this helps!
Mushu Porkie-pie there are NO certifications for Respro claims, ZERO, nada, not a single lab report anywhere in their website. So if you want to use this in industrial envirenment use a certified mask for your type of activity, i personally recommend 3M masks and filters.
@@strigoiu13 i dont mind using the 3m filter masks but they dont fit along with my welding mask. thats why i use these. atleast to prevent the fumes, soot and metal debris from breathing in.
What happens if you don't change the filter, and you keep resuing it after you rewash it ?
The filter can be washed gently, but will need replacing depending on use. You can find washing instructions on our blog: respromasks.com/2020/04/27/cleaning-and-replacement-of-respro-filters/

I seldomly log in and leave a comment but I find changing the valve incredibly frustrating. I think that you have a good product but it simply doesn't come off just by turning it anti-clockwise. A slower and more zoomed in tutorial would be more useful. The mask that I bought is well past its return date. Shame as I would like to use it and have a legitimate use for it. Before having to change the filter I could recommend the product.
Hi,
The valves are a simple open and close function that only have one moving part; the diaphragm and this lasts forever. The valve itself consists of the main body (on the outside of the mask) and a locking fastener (as can be seen on the inside of the mask) these two components lock together through the filter and should not fall off.
Once locked in place, insert the filter and valve assembly into the shell of the mask and push the valves through the large hole of the mask shell to secure.

how long does one filter last?
+Bevy
Filter Lifespan:
The filter lifespan is based on the characteristics of the active urban cyclist.
1. Half hour journey to work half hour back
2. A breathing rate of 30 litres of air per minute
3. Pollution levels where the WHO (World Health Organisation) guidelines recommend that the average citizen should wear some form of respiratory protection.
On this basis we recommend that the filter be changed every 69 hours of use in the environment.

thanks
100 Hours I think. Generally filter packs indicate that.

Will respro filter protect against breathing in the new coronavirus?
Viral infection is transmitted in two major ways:
1. By airborne transmission.
2. By coming into physical contact with viral material and self administering the virus by hand to mouth or nose actions.
Viral protection is best attended to in two ways.
1. Use a respiratory mask that incorporates an Activated Charcoal Cloth layer together with a submicron particle filter layer(combination filter) as it has the ability to adsorb viral matter in both the micro and the nano range of sizes by means of entrapment and adsoprtion. Whilst a P2/P3 industry face mask will trap particulates which may well carry viral matter, they are seldom bespoke and come in one size. This increases the chance of a misfit by the user, especially if used by children or if they are not shown how to fit a mask properly or undergo a fit test~This means that a percentage of unfiltered air will bypass the filter completely. So whether that rated mask is P1/2 or 3, is not a significant factor. The correct fit and the seal are!

A combination filter would be suitable for exhaust pollution (VOC's and PM 2.5's) airborne viral and bacterial matter, and cigarette smoke.
A combination filter has both a Hepa-type filter layer and a DACC layer. This combination of Hepa-type filter layer and DACC in one single filter provides submicron (smaller than PM 2.5) dust filtering capability, together with DACC capability for filtering gases (VOC's /Acid gases), vapours and viral matter in the nano range of sizes by means of adsoprtion. It is the best type of filter available in our range for dealing with the broad spectrum of vehicle and non vehicular pollutants commonly found in major cities across the globe.

2. By use of a Sanitiser that kills viral and bacterial matter found on common surfaces which are continuously handled. That could be door handles, light switches, TV remotes, communal surfaces and on mass transit systems from buses, trains and metro or at work on shared surfaces, in lifts etc.
We are running a Travel Sanitiser program whereby every mask order comes with a free bottle of water based sanitiser, a must for all who travel on mass transit systems. It is Non-Toxic, kills 99.9% of all common germs and bacteria and is hand sized and an excellent travel product for everyday use. respro.com/store/product/respro-sanitiser - best used on a daily basis.
