Favorite Doors song...hands down...main riff andbass break @ 1:20 some of the first riffs I learned playing bass...along with Wild Child, Shamans Blue's and of course Sunshine of your love(cream).....about 45 years ago.... Please ease this crowded old guy's ....young childlike fragile, egg-shelled mind....where do you find the time for such virtuosity? My guess is you work in a music store....or you are independantly wealthy....If you work washing dishes 40 hours a week, I will have to hate you for pulling this off. LOl....seriously JJ....you're the first stop for me and I imagine countless others when I want to get the song Im learning right. What impresses me most of all...you are sitting on a goldmine....yet you do it for free......for the love of music.....Hats off!!!!!! \
I am thinking about buying a bass just for that riff right there. I'm only 15 and probably should be using my money for something else but I really wanna play this song.
Any time you feel like recording the Doors, please do so so. Krieger always have such interesting licks. I bet I watched your LA Woman and others dozens of times. We appreciate your efforts here greatly. Big fan of your library.
James James vids are the best! No talking no bs unless it’s necessary. As soon as I pull up a video and I hear” hey, what’s up guys?” - I immediately move on. He just plays it and that’s that. Perfect
Hey man. Just saw the PT´s final video. And I´m just driving by to say that I really apreciate your videos, and please don´t give up with this story. Look man, I´m from Brazil and I often rather to learn from your videos than the portuguese ones. I really think your a goddamn aid (good sense) for us, the core dozens ( or maybe more) people who just want to enjoy music and learn guitar stuff. Please man, keep going with this work. And don´t delete PT videos please!!! Good luck man.
I think it was a lot of things. Great songs, for starters. But I wonder if they’d have been quite so popular if Morrison looked in 1967 the way he looked in 1970. He wasn’t exactly Tiger Beat material in the post-Miami period.
@@jamesjames9275 True to some extent, but he always looked dangerous. As someone who writes, I say lyrics. Writers influence. Musicians (and I admire greatly admire musicians) work.
JJ, I remember you telling that you use the black SG for mostly slide playing because of its high action. Do you adjust the action for regular playing now and then?
PEACE FROG minor chord MUTE TOP LEFT NOTE AND SUBTLE PLAY NOTE UNDER UPPER LEFT NOTE THEN pluck the muted note & diagonal while SKIMMING across 3RD diagonal just two notes INTRO
+sircampos94 dude, what you just said makes absolutely no sense. And James is right, only the root and fifth are included in the chord, so it isn't Gmaj or Gmin, it's a G5 chord.
I'm watching this on one of the streets of the town of New Haven right now. Fortunately there's no blood visible.
it's not up to your knees?
My favorite band! And Robbie Krieger is extremely underrated.
Aydan Schlaffman yes Robbie is way underrated
Easily one of the greatest guitarists ever
James James for president. Make America Rock Again.
Are you kidding? That's the worst job on the planet!
James James you voting on Tuesday?
Already voted.
I'm not a huge Doors fan but I LOVE this song, Touch Me and Roadhouse Blues! Nice job JJ! Wait maybe I am a Doors fan!
Hahaha

Tone and playing is spot on JJ ! Thanks !
Unfathomable to think Robby Krieger didn't use a pick... His thumb is like a piston

Bad Ass, brother...
Isnt this shreddy and funky at the same time
This is awesome :)
Robby kreiger is very underrated top twenty five to me not 70 like rolling stone said bet the list maker doesn't even pick or pluck
Dang!
I didn't know this riff was by Krieger.
+Gerardo Saucedo He wrote tons of their songs, including a lot of lyrics.
What do you think made "The Doors," influential? Lyrics or musicianship. If you had to choose one.

@@jamesjames9275 they recorded LA Woman and Morrison Hotel in post-Miami period. You don't consider that a "Tiger beat material"?
👍🏼🇺🇲👍🏼🇺🇲👍🏼🇺🇲👍🏼🇺🇲
Are you using some pedal?
What is the equalization of the amplifier?
Did Robby play this without a pick ? Just curious
You didn't watch the whole thing.
Haha, busted!
James James Just about 30 seconds so far, Was gonna save it for later too learn the song quickly :(
JJ, I remember you telling that you use the black SG for mostly slide playing because of its high action. Do you adjust the action for regular playing now and then?
I set this one back to normal playing a few months ago.
What's yer take, now that it's back to playing position? How do you compare it, if at all, to the red one?
The red one has priceless sentimental value. But this a much better guitar.
Brother gave you the red one, right? I gather there's some good stories behind it. Any you wanna share with us...the kind that would make us jealous?
the G is major
Robbie played without a pick
You didn’t watch my lesson.
Your probably a famous rockstar and nobody even knows lol
what amp are you playing through?
Peavey Vypyr 100
PEACE FROG minor chord
MUTE TOP LEFT NOTE AND SUBTLE PLAY NOTE UNDER UPPER LEFT NOTE THEN pluck the muted note & diagonal while SKIMMING across 3RD diagonal just two notes
INTRO
+sircampos94 It's definitely a 5th chord, which is ambiguous as to major/minor.
