Only one (1) of those people (Danielle Boris) was wearing the device ‘correctly’ (with the air vents facing UP). All the others were facing down (the best that I could see). The manufacturer says to point the Air Vents 'UP.' Also, there are three (3) settings for the fan speed, Low, Medium, and High. What setting did they have it ON ? Were these participants even told about the settings beforehand? Probably not. And, last but not least, please give the device MORE than 60 seconds ..... GEEZE.!! The reporter ‘did [not] do his research' on this device [before] doing the field test.. My wife bought one of these for my birthday today and "I LOVE IT".
It's certainly is better than nothing . I have found it helpful when you are trying to sleep and your room is a bit too warm yet running the air conditioning would be too much as well . OR ESPECIALLY sitting in your car for a period of time and running the air conditioner for that long would burn up alot of gasoline. It is comfortable enough around your neck that it doesn't bother you to fall asleep with on your neck. I would not operate it in places that are dusty or have lint flying around . Eventually the internal fan blade disk will get coated with dust and need cleaning.
Idk about the Arctic Air model but neck fans do help you feel a little better when its hot out and theres no breeze. The ones with cooling plates definitely make a difference, but the better of those requires you carry the battery bank separate. Theres a triple cooling plate one out there with separate battery thats more effective than the old wet towel trick for sure. I have one with a fan+single cooling plate thats honestly very convenient and also makes a difference. The spot the plate is on your neck gets REAL cold. I have a few im probably going to do my own review video soon comparing some models
The best I found still is a wetted headband or dew-rag. Immediately cools off the head and the brain for noticeable evaporative cooling. Lululemon has some fitted stylish ones👍
@Richard A fan just blows the surrounding air. Something like Torras Coolify and/or a fan with a water mist to break through the heat is good. Nothing helps much outdoors in humid heat though.
I have this and I absolutely love it. It’s really not something that you want to wear out in the heat but it’s more like for if you’re indoors or it’s not too hot outside and you start to sweat this will stop you from sweating. I use it at work and it’s my saving grace. I would be dying without it so again not really something that’s going to get you cool while you’re out in 100° heat but once you start sweating you’re definitely gonna feel better with it blowing on you.

I just bought one bc it was highly recommended to me This was used outside on the package it says in big bold letters For Household use only so Im assuming that could be thr differece these people were outdoors?
try coolify 2 now :edit I bought 2 of them and they make you more hot so I use a paper towel around my head under my hard hat instead. I will propbably be using them in the winter when it is freezing.

I have had the neck cooler for about 6 months and it works well when I am walking as it keeps the bugs away from my head and neck. However there is a problem with the device, there are two small plastic clips holding the band together. They pop off and the the band wants to come apart. I called customer no service and was told that they don't sell parts but they would replace the neckband if you had an order number and it was purchased directly from them and not a middleman. They said that ther have been a number of complaints received about the connectors but again no parts sold. If you didn't purchase it directly from them then the only recourse is to buy a new one from them. Very very frustrating. The little plastic piece can't be more than a few cents. I am stuck with my duct tape holding this item together. MY SUGGESTION IS DON'T BUY IT, unless you want to be frustrated as well.
The concept is outstanding? Unfortunately didn't live up to the hype 🤔 I was thinking on getting the mailman in south Florida one? Guess a cold bottle of water would be better.

This is obviously a joke…. This is not a good representation for the product you’re not gonna change much standing in one spot inactive if you need to be cooked off just from walking… maybe stay inside, but as a welder inside tanks and stale 110°+ heat this thing is a Godsend it’s a good product and it’s not meant for sitting i your porch in the shade it doesn’t what it’s supposed to and much better than having to swap out batteries evey half hour or hour so for the price it’s great…
