This is the best review of the Maxpedition Falcon II I have been able to find yet. Thank you for your professionalism, for keeping it interesting, and for demonstrating some of the features of the pack. This definitely helped me in my search for a good pack.
Thanks 3charter.. I agree.. I just recently put mine together and now I'll never leave home without it.. My work truck broke down out in the middle of nowhere the other day, but I can't leave that truck.. I had to sit there for 4 hours for someone to come pick me up in 28 degree weather.. thank god for my ditch bag
Hoffa, thanks for the welcome back... It's great to be back.. Yeah I try to keep room in my packs in case I want to add something later.. You should get the pack, I really like it.. One of my favorites now
thank you so much levsmith.. the jeep is a 1995 with a 4 inch lift and 32's.. I'll be putting in some 2 inch spacers, long arms, and 33 in the near future along with a Ford 8.8..
Thanks Trigger.. me too.. Up in the rear seat i keep a sleeping bag and sleeping mat in case I just want to wait out the night and try to fix things in the morning..
What an awesome video. I like the kit. I was looking at the Falcon II before. Now with that orange color I might just make it a must have. But good to see you reviewing stuff again.
Glad to see your back doing videos. I was think about pick up that pack [Orange ?] but was concerned with limited amount of space. You had all kinds of room for more equipment. Hope to see something soon. Tks!
Thanks 05!! I actually keep spare batteries in the glove box in a Maxpedition Volta case.. I just ran out of time with the 10 minute limit on YT.. This was the 4th time shooting because I kept going over the time..
thank you beast.. The jeep is a project that I don't think will ever be done.. I just ordered a winch and winch plate for it.. No I'm designing bumpers..
really good video man. I have had mine for about a year now and it has been through quite a bit of wear but you cant tell by looking at it because its such a good bag. if i had a camera i would do a review of mine, again really good review.
Nice high quality video. I have an OD Falcon II that I use for the same purpose in my vehicle. You really can get quite a few items in the Falcon II. Thanks for the vid.
great idea echo.. I'm waiting on a few more pieces of equipment before I make the video though.. I'm waiting on my winch, OBA, and a few tools.. All of which have been ordered, just not here yet.. stay tuned!
Its great to be back.. I've got some more mods on the Jeep before it's ready for a full out review.. It's going to be set up and ready as a bug out vehicle
@stereosuasive I agree about the water bladder.. That's why I never carry one. But you have to remember that these packs are made more for military assault packs rather than hiking packs like the REI ones.. The material will probably last ALOT longer than anything REI, North Face, etc will ever come out with
You're absolutely right. But after a few thousand subbers and comments all the time, I don't have the time to respond to every one. I try my hardest, but I also work over 90 hours a week, so it makes it kind of hard to keep up... Thanks for watching
nice vid. love maxpedition products only thing about this pack is the drainholes. if something leaks it looks like the drainage comes out at your back. i wouldnt want things leaking on my back
I like how basic your kit was. Nice and simple but effective. Hot Hands -- awesome product. The blaze orange is a good color for what you have designed your kit do to. The only other thing was maybe some sort of blade and fire tinder, however you probably have something along them lines on or near you anyways. 5/5
Good video! I use a Maxpedition Falcon 2 as an EDC/Daypack/Get Home Bag(Ditch Bag). I just vary a few things inside depending on where I'm heading and the season we're in. Perfect size and weight, and not too 'military' looking, so it doesn't attract the wrong attention. I was thinking of getting it in the orange color for safety, but decided on a darker shade to blend in, but I keep a cover in it that's safety orange and green with reflective stripes on it so I can be seen if I need to, really just an adjustable safety vest, cheap and works great.
Dude....you do a great job on your videos. I understand if you dont reply right away or even at all...people got jobs...we get it. Great great job...keep em coming when you have time!!! Cheers
@paullook2007 I've seen the 5.11 Rush 12 but never used it.. From the tactical web gear that I've used from 5.11 I prefer the Maxpedition. The 5.11 just doesn't seem as sturdy and heavy duty.. You can tell a Maxpedition pack will last for years the second you hold one.
Suggestion: 1) Orange handle knife=great. 2) orange bag? Never. 3) Shem? Perfect. 4) orange beanie? Never! Non-issue black duty cap=much better. 5) med kit cool but you can do better with all that space you allowed for it. Good review but I prefer a bit bigger of a bag and I'm smaller but carry more weight then you. Just a suggestion.
I like this orange color in the video but for some reason all the pictures of this backpack I'm seeing now it looks darker, less "Hi Vis" and the straps look closer to grey than khaki. Do you know if they changed the color or is it just the video?
Do you know 5.11 tactical? I know 5.11 have a backpack which call "Rush 12" if there have Rush 12 and Falcon II Backpack ,which one do you feel better?
Thank you Tayniakus.. Easy way to end the arguement.. Go break down out in the middle of nowhere and walk out with her.. When you get out, tell her "You know, if we would have taken notes from gwynn1975's video, that walk would have been much easier." LOL j/k.. good luck buddy
You really like Maxpedition huh... You must have 250 bucks worth of Just Bags alone.. And if i had to guess I would say total cost of that bag is about 450 bucks. I can tell your not on a budget lol... Anyways nice review thanks for sharing.

Thanks 05!! I actually keep spare batteries in the glove box in a Maxpedition Volta case.. I just ran out of time with the 10 minute limit on YT.. This was the 4th time shooting because I kept going over the time..

@rsteak Sweet! I'm sure you'll like it when you get it. It's actually a tarp that I got at Sports Authority. Enjoy the Falcon II!
great review. I at first did not like the color but its perfect for an emergency situation.
great idea echo.. I'm waiting on a few more pieces of equipment before I make the video though.. I'm waiting on my winch, OBA, and a few tools.. All of which have been ordered, just not here yet.. stay tuned!

Great review! Which size is the Maxpedition Cuboid? Is it the Cuboid Medium? It seems to fit perfectly into the main compartment of the Falcon.
Thanks BroPaul
