When I was going through puberty (many moons ago), I had HORRENDOUS and painful acne. Around that time, we adopted a stray male cat. He would come sit on my chest and "bathe" my face for almost an hour. Crazily enough, my acne actually cleared up! I don't know if there's something in their saliva, or he just licked every pore off my skin, but I was surprised. Of course, when I was asked in school what I was using, I lied and said Clearasil.
It's hard when they lick the same spot over and over for a long time, because they'll eventually get through your skin, and to make matters worse, that spot will get tastier and tastier then.
