We were getting used to heavy bands becoming "soft", and then Demolisher came out, brutally destroying everything AND getting famous. Suddenly, lots of youtubers were making reactions and getting tons of views, I think that's a nice way to promote a band
The thing is it was brutal but it still had a song structure a catchy chorus and a legendary breakdown. It was brutal AND fun as hell. Many heavier metal songs tend to be this wall of noise which can also be fun but this track is just so much more accessible to more casual listeners. Its one for the metal hall of fame :D
This is the first deathcore album that I have actually took interest in, I don't know what it is about them but I just can't stop listening. The only other times I would listen to deathcore is in Nik's videos, but I would never go out of my way to listen to them again. My favourite song from this album is probably I Killed A Man, but all of them are amazing.

Album of the year. No contest. Well, some contest, but Kostolom is pretty much perfect. It's like Iowa, arguably one of the best albums ever made, went into a state of chrysalis and out came... A modern new-deathcore masterpiece. Slaughter To Prevail should be beyond proud of the work they did with this.

Do a reaction vid to a band named Portal. They have a music video for a song called Curtain. I honestly don't know how to react to it myself. It's...different. I'm not sure what subgenre of metal it falls under. It's just...a different form of metal. And creepy.
It’s definitely a solid solid album. But for me I still think they are finding their sound. The album didn’t really have a flow start to finish and it was obvious that it was like ok… these are the nu-Metal Bits… these are the deathcore bits etc… But don’t get me wrong. Still really enjoyed it but looking forward to what they have for us next.
I don't know man, I liked the album but I was expecting more from the hype they made. (The songs I enjoyed more are Father, Ouroboros, Head on a Plate)

I think the guitar work could have been more diverse. Think it's a great album though it could have been a masterpiece if there was more time put into writing more unique riffs imo. Though maybe that was what they were going for....

I mean before Demolisher, there was The heretic prevails from Shadow of Intent that kinds blew up as well, then Immortal from Lorna Shore as well.
