She is arguably one of the greatest singers in history. Let her sing, let her grow and be thankful that we get to hear her voice! DJRegnier While Jackie's perfect pitch and mellow tonality are great talents I have said from the beginning that her phrasing (emotional interpretation) were her greatest talents. While I'm not sure I would agree that she exceeds Karen Carpenter and Eva Cassidy, I would certainly agreed that she is in those rarefied ranks.
To me, this song, this heavenly voice is the one that would bring tears to the Angels above! In my life, with my life....I hope to hear Jackie's voice every single day! Given the chance I would listen to her sing as I pass....from one world to the other.....the difference would be insignificant!
I saw Jackie in Midland Texas several months ago and I can say she has much more power in her voice now than she did when she recorded this song two years ago at 14. She is on the other side of puberty now and her voice is richer and more resonant especially in her lower Mezzo Soprano range but still powerful and warm in her Soprano range. I compare her voice to a violin and cello wrapped up in one beautiful young lady.

Taking advantage of a rare opportunity to listen to Awakening on my 'best' stereo and am again really impressed, it is an indisputable masterpiece! I have to say that, in contrast to all those who complain that they can't hear her words that every word is clear. Even listening to RUclips I don't have a problem with her (piped though a decent stereo) but the best one reveals all the nuances. She is without doubt one of the finest voices I have ever heard and will become the singer whom all others are compared to - already is in many instances.
This is on the PBS dvd. Make sure that you get a copy. The anticipation that she is going to play the piano and sing is something else. The audience ate it up. Jackie this is a fantastic rendition of this song. I had to modify the bass a little so you would not saturate my speakers. Otherwise GO get them Girl. I would really like to hear you do Nessun dorma again.
