Nope you wouldn't get a record because there's no real difference between that and the most three points shots scored in a minute (with or without shoes) so we wouldn't monitor one shoe as a record title. 😉
It's a common misconception that we previously only monitored 'serious' records. In fact, we've always chronicled all kinds of human endeavour, no matter how unusual. Some examples from our first edition in 1955: a record for the longest time keeping a smoking pipes alight (it's no longer a category we monitor!), jumping barrels on ice, eating the most raw eggs, the longest moustache and a man in Spain who consumed 40 pints of wine in 59 minutes.
Guinness World Records some of the records I understand but at the same time i feel a good majority of the records are too specific and weird that they shouldn't exist. Unfortunately, I guess its all subjective. How do you guys determine what a valid record is? And how do you decide the limits and restrictions about the records so they dont become too out of hand?
Here's a guide to what makes a Guinness World Records record title Evs > www.guinnessworldrecords.com/records/what-makes-a-guinness-world-records-record-title/
Last time I checked this was Guinness World Records, not an Indian flash mob competition nor a crossfit push-up tournament. Congrats to all those people who actually work hard to set a record though :)
You call those push ups? Those half assed push ups? Real push ups are made till the chest touches the ground. Also the elbows MUST be stuck to the body if what you are doing is a classical push up.
Congratulations to all of our new record holders! 🌎🏅
