I would put fiberglass insulation or another type of acoustic damping material behind the speakers. There should only be bass coming out of the horn, the mids and highs should be dampened. I love the design.
The design and build execution is superlative. Congratulations! I would like to build these cabinets with a full-frequency driver that would do them justice. I would use a Jordan Eikona 2. Once you have heard what a high-resolution, single-cone driver can achieve, conventional loudspeakers sound forced, unnatural and fatiguing. Cheap single-cone full range drivers are just that, and don't cut it. These drivers that I propose are not cheap at USD 760 a pair. (600 English pounds actually) The EJ Jordan Eikona drivers a HIGH END, full-range, metal cone loudspeaker drive unit, designed by audio legend Ted Jordan. It is a world-class componant capable of exemplary performance. Can I buy the cutting plans for these boxes or buy a flat pack kit? Are autocad drawings available.? I am very impressed with your craftmanship. Thank you.
I might be wrong as I'm not familiar with the audio you played, but I think your horns need some damping. I've built many backloaded horms and I think I'm hearing a number of issues which damping will help resolve. Is the piece you played available to the public?
How do people have an opinion on the sound? I’m watching this on an iPad… I have no idea what microphone setup he has but I know what I’m watching this on… I have no opinion on the sound… they look great!
Ok I have just listened to that peace of music on you tube music and there is a ton of bass in parts and through out the track , I think eather your amp is not working properly or you need better dampening the peace of music sounds great on my system also my system was set to flat response beleave me when I say I'm not trying to rubbish your work I want them to sound as beautiful as they look my friend.
Well I'm Speechless is that meant to be a full range speaker ? I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude, but that was a lot of work and skill you put into that project, is the horn meant to bring out the Bass ? because I was using three way Pioneer speakers to listen to your video and I'm sorry to say that they sounded terrible very toppy and mid and zero bass and also the music did them no favors at all, I was so looking forward to hearing those speakers too, eather it was the full range drivers or the amp , also I think you need some acoustic wadding in side that horn to take away the colouration from the sound I was disappointed.
even tho they need some damping, the design and execution are amazing!

I wondered this too.
Quick search yielded this ruclips.net/video/PG2A1_URzsc/видео.html
Seems to be an original piece for the movie "Moonrise Kingdom"
Maybe some sound absorption like Danny sells on GR Research?
With the echo and the music choice imho way too Bright for my taste .

They need damping.

A very rude remark from the clueless.
