Slavery under National Socialism / Eyewitnesses to the Holocaust

💬 Edward Friedmann grows up as a Jewish boy under National Socialism. In early 1940 he fled to Romania with his family. Arrested by SS soldiers and Romanians, he has to work in a Jewish labor battalion under the worst conditions. When it was decided that he and his fellow prisoners should be deployed as minesweepers on the Eastern Front, he escaped from the forced labor camp.
