Hexproof from color. The spell that targets was red.😅 “If I swing I only hit my opponent for 2”. -Opponents life total is at 2 I appreciate the extra content!! The only issue with Crim vids is that they are too short. But hey having some bite sized stuff is such an important niche for the channel and crim does it so well!
11:06 opponent got stopped by a protection spell, untapped played a land and while Crim was tapped out, passed. They then were once again stopped by a protection spell they clearly knew Crim played. People need to learn it is ok to cast instants at sorcery speed sometimes
but what if my opponent casts pump spell during their main phase while i clearly passed with removal in hand?! yea, it's a common missplay, it all comes down from learning about removal blow outs and trying to achieve it as often as possible
When I did my first draft two weeks ago, my older brother got the ley line axe and got it in his hand turn one, so i couldn’t do anything to stop his creatures since I had no card removal’s and no creatures to survive a hit from the creatures with the Ley line axe, so I got destroyed game one, he even later got it in another round after my match with him
The opponent at 14:15 punted. Nowhere to Run also turns off Hexproof, so they should have targeted the Scamp with the ETB, getting a 3-for-2 and not even taking Scamp damage bc its power would be reduced to 0. Denying this kind of deck bodies is much more valuable than denying the Map tokens, especially because without bodies Maps don’t do anything
So did Skrelv not work because the spell was the source which was red? I feel like the creature dealing the damage should have been good with prot from white
The problem is that skrelv does not give protection he gives hexproof from the chosen color. If crim wanted to prevent this he would have had to have chosen red to fizzle the spell
Would the spell have fizzled? It would have still had one legal target so would have still done as much as it could which would be the opponent's creature being sacrificed, right?
Hey, great video as always, and I know this has nothing to do with the video but I am commenting in the latest video in hopes you are more likely to read this. I realized there's some real combo potential from Jace Vryn's prodigy that, somehow, has eluded everyone in the channle. So my idea is, you get Jace on the graveyard, you play agatha's cauldron, and by getting a +1/+1 counter on anything that flips you can flip it just by tapping (if you have enough cards in your graveyard, obviously), praetors for example seem like good options (i.e. Vorinclex, maybe JIn Gitaxias, despite it not being great unless you have a lot of cards in hand), what do you say?
Mindskinner prevents all the damage it does though, and you don't need double strike on an equipment if you're using damage can't be prevented effects, just use a fling or something.
I've been playing Arena lately, and I have to say I love your disclaimer even more. So many people in games are such crybabies- they load up on all the removals and counterspells they can, but the moment you outplay them, they get salty and start roping. Hahahaha, it's ridiculous!

Ohhh, right, because Skrelv doesn't actually give protection. I forgot that too.
Oh yeah my brain always shortcuts Skrelv as "Mother of Runes that costs 2 life", lol
He mistook hexproof from white for protection from white. If it was protection it would've worked.
Skrelv is one of the most miss played cards on Arena. Everyone just assumes it's Mom but it isn't nearly as good.
So would it have worked if it was hexproof from red instead? Asking for a friend. JK it's me who wants to know

8:50 Lol I can't believe I never noticed the Lorem Ipsum text on the sheet of paper on the far right that's part of the battlefield

Bladegraft Aspirant finally has a home
"You have my axe, and my axe, and my axe"
"Temu Embercleave" 😅 I thought it would be "Embercleave at home"
Is "temu _____" the new "_____ at home"? Could be
@@laeclorentzen6111 Not quite. "Temu __" is the new "__ from Wish", which was the new "__ at home". 😂
crim keeping triple axe hand is the reason why I watch him
"Sheltered by Ghosts" bro lol 😂
Earliest I've been to a vid in a while. Cool to see leyline axe in action.

I really want to try Leyline Axe in Bard Class with Embercleave. Having another way to give Double Strike and Trample in Bard Class seems pretty good.
(reacting to Game 1) Nice to see two Gold-level players know as little about MTG(A) as I do
It gives hexproof from a color, but not protection (which would prevent damage). So choosing red would have prevented the spell from targeting it
You are doing it wrong! You are meant to play this with mindskinner and mill with doublestrike

Wouldn't death touchers be good here?
Was hoping to see Nahiri, Forged in fury 😅
wait mox opal layline axe and an artifact land for modern?
The closest to embercleave standard has at the moment is Monstrous Rage tbh

@@laeclorentzen6111 I think they just want to mill 22.
