- A pilot is sent across the galaxy through a new device. His mission is to orbit and reconnoiter a planet before returning home. The planet is known to be populated by intelligent life. Once at his destination the pilot becomes marooned on the alien planet and soon discovers the planets only inhabitants are predatory machines.

I stumbled across this movie a few years ago.. and I have to tell you. It drew me in, and I couldn't turn it off. I liked it, a LOT! A really good movie. Not your typical sci-fi big budget show. It reminds me of both Primer and Time Crimes. A deep thinking story that makes you work with it. And it is so well worth the trip! A hidden GEM!
and FilmCrop did a GREAT job with this video, by not spoiling the ending. Neither will I.
Hmmm. How can we save money on CGI for an escape pod landing scene. Oh, we could have him parachute to the surface.

They should have made the movie in November when there are no lush green fields and woods. Tge filter cannot hide that's actually made in nice nature.

I watched this film some time ago. Its not the best film ive ever seen, but certainly not the worst either.
It was predictable enough...
...UNTIL reaching the plot twist. 😊. I suppose its not the biggest twist, but it was a fun surprise 😂
While it is Earth, the guy is actually an alien as evident in a final scene when he blinks. An alien culture was reaching out to earth and inadvertently caused its destruction.

He is not human, he's an alien, that's the plot twist.
