Really sweet playing. Looks like you added a toggle switch next to the pickup selector. Is that a coil tap for the humbucker? If so that's one more tone for an already extremely versatile guitar. I really like my P-38 and it's great to hear one played so well. Btw, listening to you play reminded me of a thought I've had about Korean guitarists. I listen to a variety of Korean artists from Hyukoh to Mamamoo, just to name a couple, and I've noticed that Korean guitarists almost always have a very melodic, lyrical sound and style. Onewe's Kanghyun is a good example. There seems to be a uniquely Korean approach to the guitar in roughly the same way that kpop and kdramas have their own unique style no matter what genre of music or story. Do you have an opinion about whether there's a k-style of guitar playing?
Thank you for the comments Personally, I think Korean guitarists were eventually influenced by foreign guitarists, whether it is lyrical or ballad, but there is a unique Korean sentiment. It's hard to explain in words. But that will also be the price of effort. It's about emotions? Sentimestal?
@@80gmajor Thanks for sharing yours thoughts and for not saying I'm crazy. :) Music is so global that I think everyone is influenced by each other but yeah, current guitarists are ultimately influenced by the ones who created the language of electric guitar, mostly from the US and England. It's hard to define but I think there is a Korean style of playing that tends towards certain kinds of emotions and sentiments. It's hard to pin down, just like it's hard to say exactly how kpop is different from western pop or why kdramas are so different from western tv shows.
