Hi David, thank you for another fabulous video! Pot Luck LP is one of my favourite records. Elvis voice is just out of this world! With Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello, what a fabulous record that is too! Early 1960’s is my favourite Elvis time. No one could sing like him either. Happy 90th Birthday Elvis. Looking forward to the next video David, stay safe. Regards. Ellie 🎼🎵🎄🕺🏻❤️😃👍⚡️
i am 80 and witnessed the whole of Elvis' career, my mom was 103 when she died. Saw Elvis in concert twice, and it was a thrill of a lifetime. He was so beautiful and kind and loved his fans. People just think he did Rock and Roll, but he could sing everything, and had almost a 3 octave range. I appreciate this broadcast, and hope your live many years more, and no matter how long it will be, never forget the greatest Icon of all time. ELVIS🥰 Thanks and be Blessed.😍
David, Always Elvis. Thank You for the tribute. I’ve been playing Elvis music all day and night. Quite a book, I might say, I’ve had to much to drink tonight, but it’s still good. 😊
Hey, Frankie! I'm glad you're enjoying the day. I've been so busy with work and making the video, I haven't listened to anything yet and it's 6:25 pm here! 😁
Some great songs in 1962 and if only Elvis ended the year doing the proposed live tour. Would have been interesting. Thanks David and fully agree on the Day by Day book. Superb!
Elvis's voice was very strong at that time. The graphic artist of the 70s would have used an airbrush to cover the victor logo. Today they use photoshop and the stamp tool which duplicates the nearest patch the background and then stamp over the duplicate over the logo. All late last year I been digging through a 1980s record store's owners collection. Found original Jordanaires album. I was beaten by another customer of the of all the Elvis lps. At the end i picked up approximately 50 lps for Aud$5 each. Except at few $15 to $20. All had the PVC which protected the cover art as stored in the garage. Some lps were damaged by mould due to the lps put on the garage floor where the moisture did the damage. Dealers went on the attack at the collection as well. i felt like I was back in the 1980s at my local record store in Sydney. Thanks for the review!😊👍
Hi David! Enjoyed the video a lot, thank you! I couldn’t imagine Elvis at 90 to be honest... this year he’s twice my age! I liked that you pointed out those 23 years were lived more intensely than some entire life spam of others. Happy 90th birthday to the one and only! Thank you for showing the japanese albums, I love to see them! Those 70 Victor of Girls Girls Girls! look gorgeous to me 😍 and the copies of It happened at the world’s fair too. Maybe some day I’ll look for them too. It was interesting to know about the difference in popularity of those soundtrack albums of 61-62 in Japan. I have to tell you, I’ve come across the single that came free with your book on a spanish seller stock from another platform. It is priced at forty euros. I thought that was odd, knowing it was from your book, I thought of letting you know but here we are, I forgot. Hope you get those genes✌🏼and that piece of plastic will outlive any of us...you gave it proper treatment 😂 Cheers David!
Hi, Patricia. I have no problem with anyone selling the single, but I want people to know that, if someone's going to sell it for GBP 99.00, they can get it with the free book included for that price. 😅 Those plastic covers! I wonder if the inventor feels guilty. There are certain CD covers I also hate. They have the sticky side on the flap, so it's really hard to get the CDs in and out. Terrible design! 🤨 All the best!
I'm not 90 lol😃 very interesting series , as always very well explained and showing . I have that "plastic migrating"problem on one of my records to ,some spots are unplayable 😢 ,have a great Elvis birthday🎉🎉🎉
Enjoyable video - nice to see the comparisons between the Japanese albums. Strange how they never replicated the rear sleeve artwork from the US, preferring to just use text As for the music recorded in 1962, his voice, like the previous couple of years, was completely amazing….so pure. Unfortunately, and excepting Pot Luck which was a notch or two down from Something For Everybody, the so gs were not that great. In fact World’s Fair released in the Spring of 1963 was his first album not to hit the Top 3 in the UK and I always consider that this album, along with the disappointing One Broken Heart for Sale with a play time of 90 seconds, and some of the corny songs on Girls Girls Girls, was like a line drawn in the sand for many fans at the time. The music scene in the UK by the Spring of 1963 was undergoing a pretty big transformation namely caused by a band from Liverpool and from that point on fir the rest of the decade until 1969, it was a steady decline for Elvis.
The Japanese like to have the lyrics in English. If there was any space left, they'd fill it with sleeve notes. It was a trade-off. Later, they'd issue the LPs with similar covers to the US versions and include a lyric sheet. Thanks for watching!
Great series mate, can’t believe Elvis would have been 90! I’m 80 years young next month, 10 years behind Elvis! cheers my friend!
80 years young, eh? Just ten more to Elvis' century. Cheers, Mal.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like there's a lot of competition for record buying in Australia! All the best.
