As someone who lives in Michigan I’m happy to see downtown Detroit boom. While those neighborhoods still need fixing Mike Duggan has done a great job as mayor.

Everybody is continually surprised by how good downtown Detroit looks and even more so by how SAFE downtown Detroit is. Mayor Duggan has the city on the right track for sure. Unfortunately, he's not getting the same benefits previous Mayors enjoyed from having successful sports teams: Before 2018, at least one of Detroit's teams made the Playoffs every year going all the way back to 1983! Seriously, that's what kept the city going even during the darkest days of bankruptcy: Sports!
