My youngest(of 2) turned 18 in May he had not seen his dad since he was a little over 2 , so pretty much for 16 years he never saw him, never heard from him, not a card nothing (either of my children), not a happy birthday, several years ago they both added him to their Facebook - still barely spoke a whole sentence to them. Come the Middle of October my son tells me "I'm moving to Ohio" I thought he was going to live with my dad since that was his plan for the last 2 years, I said well who's picking you up? and when? He told me the day he was moving, he was moving, and he didn't want to tell me who was picking him up, but he had to since they'd be pulling into my drive way soon - it was his dad. now he's living with his dad at 18 and his dad is trying to be the Dad that was never there for the last 16 years! I've got a good job so I don't need help supporting my babies and they go to his house every single weekend and he comes and sees them whenever he wants throughout the week, some with it I want to see them on the weekends, I'll go to his house and spend time with them. My babies are one of the lucky children that get to have a mom and dad 24/7 and we're not even together. At first when he got with his wife 10 years ago she wasn't quite understanding with how well he and I got along and she tried to make attempts to come between our friendship. He and I both helped her understand that just because she came from a divorced household and her parents didn't get along that didn't mean that he and I had to be enemies as well. It took her two years to get the picture and she eventually calm down especially after giving birth to their daughter. To this day, she's one of my best friends.

When that deadbeat learned that the little girl was his, there was absolutely no emotion on his face. I would recommend supervised visitation until it has been proven that he can be a good father. Calling his child a "thing" and not being a part of his son's life are things that do not bode well for these children's future with him.

@TD glad to hear your not. I'm a single mother of two little girls. Their dad and I do not do the child support thing just because I don't see the point when he's in their lives regularly. I've got a good job so I don't need help supporting my babies and they go to his house every single weekend and he comes and sees them whenever he wants throughout the week, some with it I want to see them on the weekends, I'll go to his house and spend time with them. My babies are one of the lucky children that get to have a mom and dad 24/7 and we're not even together. At first when he got with his wife 10 years ago she wasn't quite understanding with how well he and I got along and she tried to make attempts to come between our friendship. He and I both helped her understand that just because she came from a divorced household and her parents didn't get along that didn't mean that he and I had to be enemies as well. It took her two years to get the picture and she eventually calm down especially after giving birth to their daughter. To this day, she's one of my best friends.
Just get the money, keep the visits supervised and don't have any more kids with him.🌸
