Kanye West describes the album cover as an open casket to the CD, and it’s fitting since the album is so futuristic, so it’s resembling like the death of CD’s. Amazing 🤯

I like to think the clear case and blank CD is supposed to be like a open casket funeral for the CD as digital media over physical was taking over at release.

should consider collecting both, cds are dirt cheap and you probably already have a receiver amp with a dac so all you need in the meantime is a cd transport which are also very cheap

Aaah the day I found the package waiting in my room. It was just yesterday I pre-ordered Yeezus and being told not to because of it's blasphemic title. I didn't know what to expect, but I'm proud to say I was one of the first (if not the first) to own a copy in The Netherlands. Kanye, my biggest inspiration.

the Remastered cd version is orange so u can see if its one of the old ones or the new ones

You can remove the whole "layer" which has the holding in the center.
In every corner of the jewel case there are little sticks which fix the layer.
