🙌 y'all are lucky to have a place like that. I saw an old steam boat with a rotary wheel in back crumbling apart in the Ohio River. It's unfortunate that I live too far from it to restore it into a house boat☹️ BEST OF LUCK💞
Great to see it happening you two, already with the general camera shoots of all the painting and floor it looks a different barge with such a space to create a lovely home.
Love your channel and excited to see the progress. I hope I don’t upset you but I liked the kitchen at the other end so you could have a window over the sink. 🤷🏼♀️
Do yourselves a favor, staple some temporary paper to that (and others as you go) framing. This will simulate paneling or drywall, and let you get a real feel for the space. Given that you are working inside a steel structure. you could also simulate framing and future walls with creative use of magnets and curtains.......
What type of entryway design are you thinking about using on your Castle on the Canal? Double doors or single with slide or hinge cover or are you thinking of something diffent?
Hmmmmm, I’m only an armchair expert however on other narrow boat build I have watched the ceilings are installed before walls? Not that there is anything wrong with being unconventional 😊
Hey guys, love to see an update, as many here I was wondering when the next chapter would drop. I just wanted to ask also as I know words have different meanings all across the UK never mind when you then think of all English speakers across the world. Generally in the UK the word "retard" is taboo and isn't usually heard all that often unless being thrown as an offensive term to others. So I just wanted to understand what it meant in your context? I can sort of guess but wondered enough to ask. :)
thanks so much for sharing your build with us, I look forward to each new video.. Progress takes time..
Whenever I see a new video am scared it ends very soon and yet i wish for me, I love you guys and we are getting there steadily
Holy cow, after what seems like 18 years of watching, I'm stoked to see the first "wall" go up! Getting excited for you both
@@SecondsOfAnOrdinaryLife lol we love this comment... We feel like we have been working on the boat for the past 30years 🤣
Oooooo what a tease!🙃
One Bath will clean u outta water. No pun intended ❤

Right on you two, Teamwork makes the dream work😃
Now it’s falling into place … hope you can carry on through the winter .. need more episodes to
Yes more episodes and can you make them longer
Nice job guys
Wish the videos were longer! Enjoying the progress.
Getting the insulation in should sure make working inside more enjoyable.
..................Buy a pack of carpenters pencils when you're next at the D.I.Y store . Loving the progress guy's .

Hey guys great video 📹 good progress on the boat cheers
Stay positive and keep going 🎉🎉🎉
you guys are going to be toast lol all that insulation ❤
Just putting up that wall stud makes it seem like a home has begun to take shape!
Your absolutely right! It gave us that little bit of inspiration to continue in 😄
Just thought, where are these guys and BOOM there you are.
Amazing! 😁
Lovely to see your progress 👌. Barley is putting on weight .... be careful, sausage dogs get hip problems xxxxxxx❤
Please please More episodes and make them at least 30 minutes long hope you can do that

A bath only makes sense if you have a permanent marina mooring with your own water tap.
❤❤
Bath and a washing machine. Hope you have big freshwater tanks.
Yes, a bath seems unrealistic unless on a permanent marina mooring. A washing machine is more feasible because modern ones don't use that much water.
I hate when I have to get up at Stupid Early Thirty in the morning, I am no morning glory!
Waiting to see the walls start going up, are you going to move onto it full time?
I think youd want to put a shower shower above the bath a way to save water. Indulge in a bath when you're moored up next to a water supply.
Insulate, ventilate, store heat & energy.
Good job folks. I want ask what source for heat this winter you will use in the boat ?
I think you pup would like a platform at window level with his dog bed to keep and eye on you and watch whats going by made up from your offcuts
👌👍
Hi ‘a bath’ - not a thing I would have on a boat, shower yes, bath no (unless it has an over bath shower)😊🇬🇧

8:46 "for your washing machine"......

Id like to see longer at a time please cause seems like not much happening in one video!
Love your videos, even though the audio quality is not great 😢
Will you be having an inside engine
Are you going to move into your boat permanently! If so do you have to sell your house or are you renting?
Xx

A bath on a canalboat?! So storing all the water and when your done putting it in a graywatertank and bringing it to shore. Is that practical?
@@berentjan grey water can be pumped into the canal same as a shower
It goes overboard
Tools in the new bath no way lol
Half a Wall a day you might be able to move in maybe by 2036
Did anything end up happening with those punk kids that broke your windows? Did their families cover the associated costs?
I doubt barley is impressed with the bath.
We Don't think so either! 🤣
