    Fun fact: There was a Backstory for the Ghost Hobo from the deleted scene where the Engineers told the Hero Boy and Girl that there once a there was a man who walks on top of the train when the train approaches the flat top tunnel he doesn't escape right on time now in the present the Hobo helps the Boy to get to the front of the polar express so he doesn't want the hero boy end up like the hobo did.

    • @LegendarySnipez7000
      @LegendarySnipez7000 Год назад +25

      This might be crazy. But I think that the Hobo might be Hero boy's older and bitter self who never got to see Santa Claus, and rides on top of the train because it's a part of his soul.
      Same with the conductor, he's probably also Hero boy's older self, who went back in time to convince his younger self into believing the spirit of Christmas.
      So basically, the Hobo is a version of Hero boy who died while going through flat top tunnel and became a ghost.
      The conductor is Hero Boy that got to believe in the spirit of Christmas, so he later on became the conductor of the train since he loved riding it so much and went back in time again to convince his younger self into going to the north pole to believe.
      And the Hobo disappearing at the ending is him likely being erased from existence since Hero Boy nor The Conductor ended up like him.
      So all 3 of them are the same person, but this might make sense as well because those 3 are played by the same actor Tom hanks.
      This is just a theory, but there is a scene in the movie with the flux capacitor from back to the future, but you have to look very closely to see it. But it's probably another piece of evidence that might prove my theory right.

    • @salam-peace5519
      @salam-peace5519 9 месяцев назад +11

      I noticed this back then as well, in most scenes it has 5 cars but in a few scenes like the one with the bridge and the wolves it suddenly has like 15 to 20. Back then as a kid I imagined it picked up additional cars somewhere along the tour and later removed them again offscreen. But I guess it can also be all explained by "it's a magic train" as well.

    Considering the fact that this scene lasted around 50 seconds, and the train was going downwards exposing the coal box of the water within the train(This is a steam powered train) The steel of the coal box would've had enough time to reach an extremely high temperature(The coal box is most likely around 2500degress) meaning Once the train had leveled after this scene the water would have been thrusted back making immediate contact with the burning steel causing instant evaporation producing too much steam,(If the pegs of the coal box did not work) causing a boiler explosion. In conclusion, the train should have exploded. 😀
    P.S, this is a VERY over simplified explanation.
