For example, when she won and Abby was looking at the scores, she really didn’t have to say anything, (especially in front of everyone except the teachers). Those are the things you talk about with your mom when you are at home

It’s very obvious you’re not a dancer. Turning, walkovers, etc could be very dangerous in a slipper without the grip pads on the bottom. And, frankly, either way she couldn’t do the turns.
This is the first time I have felt like GiaNina understands how to handle Abby. Being mature and just accepting what is happening, even if you don't like the dance or costume, makes it better for you and helps gain respect. Look what happened when Kalani went in and talked to her saying "It's not that I don't want to do the dance. It's my mom..." or when Brooke met up with her privately to ask to rejoin the team.

Gianina has already been fired from Broadway because of the bad attitude of her and her mother so she needs to learn these lessons. Honestly Abby was going to have her walk on, take them off at the beginning and do the dance- Abby is so big on safety that she would have had her practice in them if she wanted her dancing in them. It is not being manipulative if you are compliant. IT's called doing as your told. It's just accepting that there are some things worth fighting over and some things worth letting go and something that if you fight over, will make the situation worse. And of you do want to fight there are effective ways to go about it that don't waste your energy and keep everyone happy. That's having people skills. There is a saying that a real warrior knows when to retreat. Melissa had a lot of discussions with Abby when she though her kids were being unfairly disciplined or overlooked but she didn't insult Abby and she never questioned anything trivial or anything that would jeopardise her kids' opportunities.

Gianina is one of my favorites this season, even though few people like her. I do think her mom can act delusional, sometimes funny though like when she pulled the receipts on Abby. Gia's behavior reflects from her mom, but I'm happy she didn't start crying again in front of Abby, and that she's learning to do what Abby says to stay on the team, although her mom's actions are putting her spot in jeopardy .
Abby Lee was so obviously trying to sabotage Gianina and Joanne by making her dance in SLIPPERS, when Abby Lee likes to harp on about feet technique being important for good dancers and also for the judges who judge the dances... How are you supposed to see a dancer’s FEET TECHNIQUE if they’re wearing SLIPPERS?... 😐 This was obviously her trying to degrade and humiliate Gianina and Joanne for beating her star dancer Brady last week at the competition, and also for Joanne proving Abby Lee wrong and showing with the score sheet that Gianina beat him fair & square. But the joke’s on Abby Lee, because a Gianina and Joanne handled this with grace and class and made me like them even more. 👏🏾👍🏾✌🏾

I have been saying this over and over again, if she really had been on Broadway which is my DREAM, then maybe she is too good for Abby. They're older. Most of the kids were about nine when the show started- then they grew up being famous and then thought they were fabulous. These kids are mostly 12-14 and this is new to them.

fun fact; the producers were the ones who made abby do this solo but she didn’t like it, so she figured the only way to get it pulled was to make it the worst as possible so joanne would flip and they could pull the dance. abby would never have put her dancers in danger by going out in slippers, she just wanted the dance pulled.

And it's not about the slippers it is about the principle. If a director in showbiz asks you to do something then you do it. And your mommy doesn't step in and tell you you can weasel out of it. Gianina got fired from broadway because of this problem so they need to learn this lesson

Gianina is one of my favorites this season, even though few people like her. I do think her mom can act delusional, sometimes funny though like when she pulled the receipts on Abby. Gia's behavior reflects from her mom, but I'm happy she didn't start crying again in front of Abby, and that she's learning to do what Abby says to stay on the team, although her mom's actions are putting her spot in jeopardy .

Is it just me or are the girls in this reboot, wayyyy more mature than the original 7 seasons.
They're older. Most of the kids were about nine when the show started- then they grew up being famous and then thought they were fabulous. These kids are mostly 12-14 and this is new to them.
Gia is too good of a dancer to be treated like that from Abby. She need to go on any other team Abby is not benefiting at her at all. She was better without Abby if I’m being honest🤷🏾♀️
