    I'm a Steelers fan and was at the game last year, Love had 3 downfield completions where I just said "fuck this guy is gonna be good" so unfair that a franchise get 4 decades of incredible QB play

      If I'm remembering right, I think the Pittsburgh game was the game where I finally said "The team's still struggling but he's looking so much better". Love wasn't looking awful, but he certainly didn't look like the QB he was at the end of the season. Pittsburgh was the first game where he looked like he was getting comfortable and just needed things to start clicking.
      It seemed like the WR's were in a similar position, and they all started growing closer together and getting better as a team. It was great to see, and even if the team didn't make the playoffs, they would have still been fun to watch.

    One thing that is making Love so good is the fact he isn't favoring 1 WR above the rest like Rodgers started to do the last 4-5 years of his career in GB. Rodgers started out throwing the ball to whoever was out there for his first half of his career and this is arguably when he was most dominate. I remember for fantasy football you could not predict who his #1 WR was going to be at the start of the season. The playoffs are very different from the regular season and teams that try to force the ball to their one superstar WR keep getting shut down. The amount of 3 and outs with Rodgers trying to force the ball to Davante in double coverage was painful as Rodgers just became one dimensional and average. I'm fine with Love taking a risk like he did in the 9ers game. Sometimes you will throw a pick and end the game but sometimes you have to risk your QBR to win a playoff game when you are down in the 4th because sometimes that throw gets caught and you win the game.

    • @CompoundingTime
      @CompoundingTime Месяц назад +5

      @@richardcheese9152 yeah, the stats in the regular season were great. I'm talking about the playoffs. Specifically 2019-2021 (didn't even make the 2022 playoffs). If you go back and watch the 4th quarter of those games, it is the same offensive strategy and result each time. Rodgers is one of the greatest regular season QBs ever. The one knock on him is his game doesn't elevate in the playoffs and d coordinators were able to limit his game to buddyball.

      @@CompoundingTimeDid you want Rodgers to make Lazard and EQ something better than they are? That's why Gutey finally upgraded the WR position. Think about that Rodgers other weapons outside Adams was Lazard and EQ in his last Playoff game. That's beyond horrendous.

    • @wesch6354
      @wesch6354 26 дней назад +1

      I mean. You're not wrong about Rodgers trying to force feed the ball to Davante. That cost us the game 2 or 3 years ago in the NFCCG. But I still don't want to see Love continuing to make throws like he did vs SF last year. If he just throws that ball away who knows what could have happened? Maybe on the very next play Wicks breaks wide open for an ez TD???? Or maybe he just throws a pick on the next play??? We will never know.

    What is truly disgusting. We could have had Love on a cheap deal for 1-2 more years and used some of that money to re-sign players like Aaron Jones and had the best duo backfield in the NFL. Instead we made the same old mistake again. Over paying the QB and eating up most of our cap. Now GB is going to be a playoff contender and that's it. No SB's unless we just get lucky. When is GB going to wake up and realize you can't win it all if your QB is eating up 50+ million per year?

    • @williamhermann6635
      @williamhermann6635 19 дней назад

      They had the money to sign Jones. They chose not to cuz hes 30 and injured all the time. They gave Jacobs double what they offered Jones cuz hes younger and more of a workhorse. Made Xavier Mckinney one of the highest paid safeties in football too. Their salary cap is fine. Love's cap hit doesnt reach $40 million in a single year until the last year of the deal (4 years from now) which they will then restructure or give him a completely new deal. And this is with the salary cap expected to continue going up. Just tell us you dont like Jordan Love cuz you're talking out of your butt.

    • @wesch6354
      @wesch6354 19 дней назад

      @williamhermann6635 Jones missed what 6 games total? For the workhorse back that honestly isn't bad. We could have resigned Jones and another capable RB who was as good or maybe even better for the price we got Jacob's. Give Jones enough help so that we limit the possibility of him getting hurt this year. I like the McKinney acquisition. We definitely needed help in the 2ndary. And as to your comment about me not liking Love. I freaking went out and bought his jersey last year. I hope he starts right where he left off from last year and improves on that throughout the season. All I'm saying is we didn't have to sign him to a major deal yet. We could have had him cheap for 1-2 more years and used money to sign another prime CB to help our 2ndary, or signed a true WR1 like Mike Evans. We could have gone all in for a SB this year and maybe next year. Then signed love to a huge contract and worked towards building young talent around him. But personally I'm of the opinion that the QB market has gotten out of control anyway. Guys like Lawrence, Tua, Goff, ect haven't put up stats to deserve 50m+. I've been a GB fan my entire life and it killed me that AR12 wouldn't give up some pay on the grounds that the extra money would go towards signing him some help. And now I see GB paying boat loads of $ to Love and I forsee a repeat of the past 10 years.
