    I have been satisfied with everything I’ve purchased from Tekton. Especially their 3/8” impact sockets. There 90 tooth ratchets may be the best ratchets available. That x-long 3/8” 90 tooth ratchet is one of my favorites.

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  5 лет назад +1

      Completely agree with you. The impact sockets are great if I didn't already have so many impact sockets those are the ones I would own and yes that ratchet is amazing!!! One of my favorites. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with them. I appreciate it 👍

      TonyTheTechnician Slight update. I just purchased their impact torx bit set and wow they are garbage. I only got them because I’ve always used my Pittsburgh and Gearwrench chrome torx on my impact gun and just didn’t want to purposely break them. Well today I used the T45 to remove a brake disc off an Electra Glide and first bolt I hit sheered the bit clean in half. Removed the rest by hand and they may have been torqued to 60-80 foot pounds. They actually looked kinda cheap but I had confidence they would be ok. Definitely disappointed. I filed the warranty claim but don’t think I’ll be using them again.

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  5 лет назад

      @@truckerpeterose thanks for the update and letting me know. Ya I have heard that about the impact torx before and completely forgot about that. I'm meeting with them next month and I'm putting together a list of questions to ask them. So please if you have any other questions please let me know

    I’ve used their warranty. Bought my first Tekton tool in the 3/8 deep 12 pt metric set.
    Three sockets had chips in the chrome. Went to their site and filled out a form plus pics and part numbers.
    Three new sockets in the mail.
    Couldn’t have been easier.

    The Tekton ratchets are my favorite go to ratchets, such an improvement over the old ones! Do you think they will ever come out with a long handle flex head? I’ve seen the bent handle but I’d rather have a straight handled version lol

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  5 лет назад +2

      Totally agree. The new ratchets are way better than the old design. I'll see them in a couple of weeks I'll ask them about the flex head

    Tekton
    Chrome Job = Top Notch
    Cases for impact sockets and hand-drive sets are Spot On. However, can't be bought individually.
    Nylon Reinforced 6-1 Torx Drivers are just so goddamned handy.
    Recently bought their longest 2-pc Set, Standard and Flat Screwdrivers. Fantastic.
    As for quality of the hand-drive sockets; they're good. They're a little off on the depth; as far as when engagement of the fastener occurs.
    I prefer to have everyday use sockets make that engagement happen with as little wasted space as possible.
    Because of this, Snap-On sockets are the only way to be. I've yet to see any company meet or exceed their quality on sockets.
    Speaking of Snap-On, to hell with their striking pry bars. The steel is steel, but the the handles look like Ninja Turtle Toys. So ridiculous. Those won't age well.
    Tekton pry bars, are the best I've used. I haven't heard a lot of hype elsewhere, but I shout it at everyone who listens. Sell your Snap-On pry bars on eBay, and buy new Tekton ones for 1/4 the $.
    Warranty is the best. No questions asked. Picture email of broken tool, brief description, and in 3-5 business days, you have a new tool. This has got to be hurting the tool trucks.
    10% back on Tekton website purchases, 15% off purchases additionally, if you're a student. Unbelievable. Just great.
    Pliers are okay. Not so comfortable in my hand. Something is off. Though the nut jaw pliers I enjoy, nice for holding exterior plastic nuts while blasting the screw/bolt.
    As a new tech, I think one would be foolish to buy impact sockets from anyone else, also included:
    - Any Wrench set
    - oil filter wrench
    - 1/4" and 3/8" general service chrome socket sets
    Lengthy post, sorry. Enjoy 🙂
