    I think it’s one of the greatest runs ever. OSU beat the #2, 3, 4, 5, 9, and 10 teams this year. That’s unprecedented and I think it makes them one of the greatest teams ever despite the 2 losses. Now, before I get all the hate, I did say ONE OF.

    The CFP playoff committee should not change home field for top seeds. The fact that Southern teams have to go play in the cold is fantastic. They need to regulate and cap the NIL immediately, and also tweak the transfer rules a little, but this was by far the best season of college football I've ever seen.

    I don't think there is any doubt that Ohio State earned this National Championship. There was no fuzzy logic among the Coach's Polls, Sportswriter's, Bowl Games and computer rankings to determine which team was ranked #1 or #2..., #3 and #4, etc., at least, not completely.
    No... the National Champion was determined by the play on the field - where the winners advanced and the losers went home.
    The run-up during the playoffs to the National Championship Game, OSU played as good as any team in the country.
    There is no second guessing about who was the #1 team at the conclusion of season...
    Congratulations, Ohio State Buckeyes!

    As an Alabama fan who was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, I think that the SEC's reign of dominance that lasted 25 or 30 years is over and the B1G is once again the kings of College Football. The B1G has tv deals with three different networks, a footprint in major US Cities (NYC, DC/Baltimore, Philly, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, and LA), and clear definitive tiers in the B1G. The SEC has one source of income (ESPN/ABC), not many markets that are either major markets, long established markets, or traditionally tied to the conference markets (Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, New Orleans, Nashville, Orlando, St. Louis, Tampa), and no clear top teams in the league as everyone had at least 2 losses by Championship Sunday.

    AFTER watching this 1st ever 12 team CFP -- it's very evident that Ryan Day sure got the most for his $ spent on OSU's roster ! Several other teams in that group were near at or above what OSU spent on keeping most of their guys coming back for 1 more year. Likely > Texas Georgia Oregon & Notre Dame to name a few ? - - - Ryan Day has '''cemented''' himself into Buckeye Football History with this CFP performance in their 1st 12 team year ( ! ) - and - had an amazing string of wins against top 10 ranked teams this season !!!

    1-4 vs Michigan and one National Championship makes him the 3rd best Ohio State coach since Woody. Overall record does not matter as much as beating Michigan.

    • @LKeithG
      @LKeithG 11 дней назад +2

      Nope. Wrong. The game's changing. It's not the 1960s (though I loved watching Woody Hayes football in the 1960s).
      The Michigan game is important because they are neighbor and it's always fun to beat your neighbor, but the things that made the Michigan game so important no longer exist. Woody and Bo are both dead long ago.
      Losing that game no longer precludes a Rose Bowl and more importantly that game is only one of the data points necessary in the end of the year bracket selection.
      We've been able to let go of rotary phones and cars without air conditioning. It's time for the rest of the buckeye fan base for the go the idea that the Michigan game is the most important part of the season.

Every major school with multiple national championships has this, including Bama. For OSU, I think if you include the weird years, they have 9. If you don’t include the co-years, it’s 7. It’s so dumb either way that depending on the source, you’ll get a different answer 😂
