- US President Joe Biden has welcomed Nato leaders to Washington DC - and the war in Ukraine has been top of the agenda.
Warning that "autocrats" had overturned global order", Mr Biden announced more military aid for Kyiv.
The US president and the leaders of Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Romania are donating Patriot missile batteries and other systems to bolster Ukraine's beleaguered air defences.
In total, Nato plans to donate five strategic air defence systems and dozens of smaller, strategic anti-air batteries over the coming year, the White House said.

Ukraine will not exist in it's current form within a few years. Between the US orchestrated coup in 2014 and 2022 it lost 18% of its population through emigration. Since 2022 it has lost a further 10 million escaping the fighting (most opting to go to Russia). Add to that the horrendous war casualties and only a fool would expect it to survive as a functioning state. Zelensky (who is no longer the legitimate President), has sold land, property and infrastructure to US companies such as Blackrock. The war continues in an attempt to protect their investments, NOT the state of Ukraine.
