I don’t see many of the lads about now and I know big Phil crisp passed away. I seen Eric Beaton (hard bastard ) around and he’s packed it all in years ago. but what happened to sammo (hard bastard) and the others. Are they all still alive and kicking. I hope so. Good stuff. So many names and places from back in the day. I worked with John when he was nobbing for Harry Sutton on Rowlatts Hill.. such a laugh. Still used to see Hungarian George frequently until a few years ago.
I remember the Jts/Piano Bar/Secrets days very well. What a job it must have been keeping all the towns mongrels under control in those places. The doorman down these places were all very tough and all had their own way. But the strength was they all stuck together. You kick one and you kick em all. And everyone knew that. Only one I didn’t like was the foreign one think his name was teeborr. He through my then girlfriend out and she smashed her teeth out on the kirb. I went mad and he punched me. I kept my teeth tho 😂All in all a rough spot and I’m glad my kids never had to go anywhere like that 😂
